Bag is still all class...  I’m not usually sold on the latest and greatest in golf equipment but that Sim2 driver is mighty appealing.

Thank you. I made some adjustments in the swing today and what would you know, all clubs including driver were much sharper. 
 

the MacGregor irons feel fantastic but can penalize you on off center shots compared to more modern blades. I really do enjoy them though.

Didn't play a lot so I sold off most of my bag plus I used that money to put toward some new photography gear - the lens I bought was a new Nikon 70-200 Z mount. I do that as a second job and it brings in some decent cash that I can now use for golf equipment going forward. I did like them and my go back to them at some point down the road. I'm not too sure, though.

Finally got out to hit my new irons. I’m. In. Love. They feel much better than the T100 irons I had prior to these. I’m not sure if it’s the shaft or that these are solid heads, but they’re great irons. The leading edge is beveled a touch and it goes through the turf so well.

I appreciate it! I do a lot of photography on the side but it's not my main job. I really enjoy it as much as golf. It's damn expensive though!

That's because I thought about selling them about two years ago when they were like 9.5/10 condition. 😬

I'm going to probably pass them on back to my dad.

Just switched from the IZ to the DI. I just feel like the shaft works a bit better for me. I was really swinging free and felt the shaft load a little better due to it not feeling as firm.

I added the Spider X today. Wasn’t feeling as confident with the Newport. Love the shape but not results and it was time to really start working with a putter a little more stable on the stroke and could track its line a little better. So far so good!

A little bag update…literally. I’m a big fan of Ping bags even though I don’t play any of their clubs. I’ve just been a fan of how well they hold clubs and gear as well as their strap system. Comfy bag! Can’t wait to walk soon!

Very nice!  I like the new bag, makes me regret having a plain black one... how boring.  What made you decide to go 3 iron and ditch the old 910 hybrid, and how is the gapping working out for you with this set up?

Gapping is good. I don’t ever really find myself needing an 18 or 19* club right now with how well I hit my driver and 3 wood. So far so good with the 3 iron from the set I have.

In true WRX fashion, I ditched the Spider in favor of something more traditional looking but with stability of a higher MOI putter.

If you like the PureRoll insert, you’ll like the feel of these. I did enjoy the feel of the Spider X but didn’t care for the look. I liked what I saw in store after putting with it. It will be put to the test once the rain subsides down here.

A couple of updates coming!

 

1. New MyTP Juno putter - this has been customized with my baby girl's first and middle abbreviations. I LOVE it and can't wait for it to come in. 

2. Taylormade SIM Max 19* hybrid coming in this week. I've been on the fence on getting another SIM2 Max wood, SIM2 Max hybrid, or a prior generation SIM Max hybrid. I ended up going with the prior generation since I liked the way if felt and performed. 

3. Ball switch - I MIGHT switch to the TP5 ball soon but ONLY if it performs in every area over my Tour B XS ball. 

 

I haven't been able to do anything in a week since I injured my back when I slipped on a shot on the third hole last Monday. SUCKED! I have actually been doing some light reading with Hogan's 5 tips, Zen Golf, and a few others.

Any update on the putter? Bummed that TM didnt come out with a slant neck Spider X this year in the hydroblast because I cant find them anywhere. May have to give this guy a look at that price point to compete with my Odyssey OG White Hot 7S
