It’s been asked but not answered. With the Sim being lower spin the Diamana stock offering sounds like a decent choice. Has anybody hit the Sim with it yet? Thoughts or feedback?

I was excited to see if SIM could beat out my trusty TS3. I am very split on this driver. While I was able to hit some bombs that my TS3 just cant match, the rest of the shots were equal if not a little shorter which led to equal averages. As you can see in the data, SIM was getting out to 295 with roll on a couple of shots, whereas TS3 maxed out at 289. I think if I got really dialed into SIM i would be able to unlock a little more of that potential. But I also hit some truly woeful shots with the SIM. I deleted some shots in each round to try and make it a fair driver vs driver, but the deletions probably helped SIM more as I struck it worse.

It is also worth noting that I do not trust the Golf Galaxy GC2's. Every time I am there I feel like I am hitting the ball well and I get these brutal hooks and slices. I am a 1-2 Handicap who hits most fairways and when I miss it's usually a straight push or pull. But my game is based on hitting the ball fairly straight and parring everything. I don't bomb the ball, but I also don't miss an awful lot. For some reason at GG I get these bananas that spin off the face of the earth. I don't truly believe that's accurate.

But onto the test. I hit my gamer Hzrdus yellow 6.0 76g back and forth against SIM Max with Hzrdus Yellow 6.0 63g. I don't care about the looks of Sim much either way, but I think I like the look and feel of TS3 more. But I could really care less I only care about performance. I hit 3 rounds of shots with practice rounds in between so I could get used to each club. The bombs with SIM really did amaze me, but it also amazed me when I would hit a poop ball that went way off the planet. Round 1 was 10 good shots in which I then deleted 3. Round 2 was 5 shots where I deleted 1. Round 3 was 3 real golf shots, focused and at a good tempo trying to hit fairway. I will say SIM is harder to move left than TS3 which I love.

All in all SIM did not beat my gamer, though it showed it's raw potential. I will test again at some point in near future.

When I input trade info into the TM site the options for shaft is just "all shafts". Will higher end shafts like Fuji evolution series get an increase in trade value or is a high end shaft going to get the same trade value as a made for stock option?

To my knowledge you dont get any extra trade in value for the shaft.

Shaft makes no difference as long as it is a standard driver length & has a TM Sleeve that works w the driver.

Your trade value is based on the Head.

I have played the M5 in a 9 degree with the Diamana LTD stiff 60 stiff, tipped 1", moved up 1 click to 9.5, for the last couple of years. Swing speed on avg of 106-108. I'm 45 years old and the days of going after it really hard are long gone. I tried the SIM 9.0 on STD with my Diamana LTD shaft for nine holes, and felt like I had to really try to elevate the ball to get my desired flight, and I felt like the ball was falling out of the air bc of too low spin. For the next nine, I switched to the 10.5 clicked to one setting lower. Same shaft. Much easier to hit, much easier to square up, and felt like the spin was still low. Ball came out much straighter with less tendency to go left than my M5(probably due to the face being more closed on the M5 because I lofted up). Only discrepancy is that the head was too light and felt to be about D1 instead of my D4 usual swingweight. I felt like the Diamana worked well with the head and maybe added some spin when needed. Definitely a lower spin head than the M5, and the head looks less upright at address, even in the standard settings.

From watching the YouTube Reviews & Seeing what is going into PGA Bags I really think #loftup is back & the right thing to do with both heads.

Now I'm sure the hulk WRX'ers will be gaming the 8 degree heads with 2"Tipped TX Shafts but for us mere mortals loft is once again our friends just like in 2014.
