This may have been asked but anyone compare the SIM to M3? Am I better off going with an M5 as I see most aren’t getting a big difference between M5 and SIM? Thanks

Hey Jerry - it's really hard to make a recommendation for you on head model or shaft without seeing your data, understanding your goals with the driver, etc. What we're trying to say here is go get custom fit and have a professional fitter analyze your swing, ball speed, launch angle and spin and then fit the right model, loft, weight positions and shaft to optimize your launch conditions to get the most distance and tightest dispersion as possible. sorry I don’t want to go through 18 pages of this and other threads. What is the trade is bonus I’ve heard about from TM for the SIM? Is it with TM or other places? I believe someone said 150% trade in bonus and up to 3 clubs? Or was that the Mavrik only?

i checked out the new gear today and here were my thoughts:

SIM drivers, fairways, and hybrid were all better looking than Mavrik. Something about the head shapes and footprint I really liked.

The SIM fairway head size I thought was perfect! The only two things I didn’t like was the lie angle was far too upright and I was actually distracted by the graphics which typically never happens.

I went in wanting a Mavrik SZ and came out liking the SIM but won’t pull the trigger on either. Guess my 915F is chilling in the bag until I find a replacement I really feel comfortable gaming.

150% trade in for TM. Not sure about Callaway. Not sure about how many clubs. Sorry, other than that you're going to have to visit the OEM websites where they lay all this out.

TM as far as I have seen is only doing it if you order thru them. When I looked at tgw and golf galaxy there was not mention if it on their site but you could call and ask. Also from my understanding it’s 150% on the first trade club and normal value for any others you trade in. TM has an online chat on their site where you could ask

When I entered mine it was 150% on all clubs but cannot exceed the order total. I had some stuff that I haven’t used in a couple of years, basically getting a SIM for $40 with an upgraded shaft.

Got my order put in... SIM 8* w/ Ventus Blue 6X (non velocore as I have a real deal hear waiting) and SIM Ti Rocket with the same Ventus. Can not wait to get cleared to swing about the same time these arrive.

SIM is just serving up flat knuckle balls. You better be a high spin player to use it and If you have a positive AOA, you better loft up and/or go SIM MAX.

Good video, like always. Looks like an opportunity to play a softer/more lively shaft in the SIM (or go Max). Be interesting to see the indoor test if they fit each driver to optimize launch conditions.

Man that low spin of the SIM is like my holy grail... Tried so hard with the M5, but the M3 Tour 8.5 came the closest for me. Can't wait to hit get this going.

TXG already did a indoor test, but Indoor is very different than outdoor.

Like I tried to tell some members on this post SIM is a loft up driver It's super low spin and low launch. There will be a bunch on the BST & on Ebay by April/May. It's not a practical driver for the majority of golfers.

It's also very shallow in the face making it harder to hit....The Max is the way to go for the majority.

The pic shows a SIM of 9* loft...the others in the same pic appear to be 10.5*.

Maybe a 10.5* SIM should have been used?

So far, I feel like the performance of SIM (non-max) is like a SLDR 2.0, but in a good way. Most of the things people liked about SLDR, but with more forgiveness. I loved my SLDR, so that probably explains why I'm really enjoying SIM.

I'm happy to see more of a performance distinction between SIM and SIM Max than there was between M3/M4 and M5/M6. Fitting is crucial with these heads IMO to make sure you're in the right launch/spin range.
