Forgiveness between SIM and SIM Max. Anyone that has tested them extensively?

For heck of it I called dick/golf galaxy and they never heard 150 % but do $50 extra on new Callaway and TM, but since my SZ cobra so new can’t talk about a trade anyways

The max I think will be in many bags when all said and done. Both great drivers, was going to get a Mavrik but went with sim max instead.

After being a Callaway driver owner for 5 years I have now switched to Taylormade.

Not a big hitter at 260 carry in the UK, and having the EPIC Flash SZ I was able to hit all the new drivers. The Mavrik SZ was the best for spin for me 263 carry, all the other Callaways spun 3k plus.

Hit the Sim which averaged 268 carry with a 277 bomb ball there 9 degrees my dispersion was not great all left but a few would be in trouble. Then hit the Sim MAX which was 267 carry and all fairway finders, with a couple 270 plus so it showed more was out there.

Spin on the Sim 2.1k and the MAX 2.3k, opted for the MAX. Ordered a 3 wood as well which was effortless to get odd the deck.

My SIM should be here this week. I play a 126msi rogue silver at 45". In testing it came out to d0 swingweight. I bought a 4g weight to put in the front track. I will toy around with 2 weights in the front track. I play a fade so almost certain the 10g weight will be toe side of center.

Does anyone want info on various setting I try with the 2 weights?

I had a bad practice session with my Sim max yesterday and almost gave up on the ventus shaft

 

Then took it to my round this afternoon and so glad I did . May earn spot in the bag after all . It’s deep and very accurate , especially with a fade . Just a great feeling shaft that feels like it’s spinning , but when the ball leaves it’s not .

 

Now i I want to hit the 3 wood Lol

2.5, Lol I wish, in the last year I’ve bought 2 sets blueprints, newest cobra irons, Ping g410’s, 2 sets Srixon’s, 919 tour, cf16’s, which trading up for mavrik irons, and got another set 410’s coming too, now maybe I’ll settle down for awhile after get a second driver.

I noticed a fair difference but went with the standard sim anyways as I felt it was very stable and I liked the minor differencr in sound and feel abit more than the max.

I had same question, cause my M5 I had both weights all the way back and all on draw setting and was the straightest driver I think I ever owned. Since still have my shaft I should just find a M5 head.

I loved the real Ventus blue 6X so much in the Sim 9.0, put the velocore 7X in the Sim 3W and 8X in the 5W as well! Both blue.

I did actually because I did not believe it at first. I brought mine in and hit some shots then went back to the SIM. I am planning to go back and try hitting some more choking down on the shaft also because i feel like the 45.75 is just too long so i want to see if there is much of a difference if i choke down to around 45 inch.

My SIM 3 wood comes tomorrow and my Max 10.5 with Ventus Black 7X comes Wednesday. Stoked to give them a go!

I play a fade but I’d get the SIM if the weight track works on those days where the fade is too much. Otherwise I’d get the Max.

Received my SIM with Riptide today. A little disappointed that it was not built to my requested D4 SW. I called TM and was informed that they do not build drivers to SW,

Not yet but I will soon. The only TM tipped shaft in my group when the demos came in was the Oban Limited but graphite design is usually what I end up in.
