Hello! Attempted to sign up for the solstice this morning but within 2 minutes all the twosome spots were taken! On the waitlist for a twosome but was wondering if anyone got in and if they need a second golfer (or 4th!) to fill out their registered team. Let me know! I'm an 8 index at the moment and a Bandon Dunes fanatic!

Im just here to be excited. Managed to get one of the spots this year!!!! Holy F*&K I am excited. My cousin and I are going as his bachelor party. Least productive work day of all time today cruising the internet for BD Solstice content.

I get that there is something special about doing the Solstice Day, but if you can't get on, they're pretty good about helping you play all 4 courses on any day of the year (given enough light). I played 72 holes back in April. When I finished my round at PD, I just checked in the shop and they mapped out the rest of my day. After BT, checked in again and switched the final order, and got all 4 courses done. Drink lots of water! You don't realize you're walking, roughly, the equivalent of a marathon. Depending on how far you spray the ball.

The resort opened up for Oregonian only play yesterday. Opens to general Public on 5/11. Here's hoping that things here in Oregon stay relatively safe and healthy. Would be great to have solstice happen.

Here are the projections from University of Washington's COVID modeling. If things continue as they are now, I'm optimistic:https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america/oregon

Most of the event lends itself to social distancing. The "registration party" at the Punch Bowl and the after event dinner on the 2nd floor of McKee's pub may be what they have to alter. You'd also have to be willing to stay in a room with someone (your golf buddy) who you haven't been quarantined with.

I usually carry my own bag, but am considering a caddie for two rounds this year. They've all been out of work, so might be a nice idea to support them. Am registered and looking forward to seeing everyone. I am optimistic as well but never know what can happen in the next 6 weeks.

Hey all - trying to get a roll call going for Solstice next week. First, we have some bad news. Jarrod (bragger84) can't make it because of the border closure, which really sucks.

Who is going to be there? Also, I am going to start posting some tips and tricks learned and put them in this thread. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Punchbowl on the 22nd.

Last, does anyone know when we find out who is rounding out our foursome and routing of courses?

I think I'm play Sheep Ranch with you Monday at 11:00. My understanding is we find out our start times and courses on Monday.

TW13 - we are not playing Sheep Ranch on Monday but would love to have you at 7am on Sunday when we are playing it. I am worried about our itinerary leading up to Solstice.

Saturday: Pac Dunes (warm up)

Sunday: Sheep Ranch AM / Trails PM / Ban Dunes Late PM (we will either play 45 or 54 depending how we feel)

Monday: Old Mac mid day (this is our recovery day)

Tuesday: Solstice plus ???

I feel good about fitness level. Monday will give me time to sleep in and take it easy after Sunday which will be a big day. I've been playing 27/36 a day for the past 10 days so I feel confident the walking wont get to me. I do worry about the state of my game - it sucks right now.

Forgot to answer shackmangolf's question. We traditionally have gotten tee times and routing at the get together at the punch bowl the night before. Not sure what the plan will be this year.

I haven't played before, but I was on the mailing list for this year's. I imagine there's a link up on the website now.

Appreciate the help! Gave them a shout and they added my email to the Wait List. Fingers crossed!
