This thread won't last long....

Pretty polarizing brand on here for whatever reason, people either love him or hate him.

I badly want a custom putter by him but I haven't been able to order one in over 2 years so I'm stuck trying to win a putter lottery when he releases new putters a few times a year in very small quantities. No luck yet, supposedly he's moving to a new shop some time in the future where he will be able to expand his putter making capacities. Time will tell on that one, I'd like to believe it but he's been saying similar stuff for the past couple of years about putting out more putters. I'm not knocking the brand cause he makes really cool stuff but I've got all the covers, markers & divot repair tools I need, I just want a putter at this point.

Right now there are 4 putters available on ebay. All brand new because the people who bought them can't afford to use them.

This company is solely designed around the Scotty Cameron/Nike Shoes scheme of always offering way less than what is demanded. You are competing for that 1 putter with 25 other guys who want it and 500 guys who want it only to flip it to the 26 guys in the marketplace for one. That's non-sense. You'll just drive yourself crazy competing for putters that more than likely will not be your preferred shape, weight, toe hang, length, type of metal, face milling, alignment preference, etc... I get it for the collectors though, which are probably 20 of the 26, and will simply collect dust on a shelf, maybe get used twice a year.

Long story short, it won't help your golf game and will just leave you frustrated trying to get one.

I am indifferent and don't own any Lamb goods. I follow on social media and I think he puts out some cool stuff but man it blows me away what people are willig to pay for ball markers, pitch mark repair tools & head covers. Not my cup of tea, but to each there own.

Seems like a lot of focus on his new shop. I feel like other guys are passing him by in terms of getting putters in peoples hands. I have one of his putters, collect all of the donuts and trinkets, and love his work in general. I worry he has missed on his chance to really capture the market. But who knows. There will always be a place for custom putters and he's one of the best, when he actually makes putters.

He is raking in the money on the easy to mass produce items. Why would he slow down the machine to make less money per hour to produce a few custom putters. For him it is a simple cost+time equation. He can make more money for his given time pumping out a hundred divot tools or ball makers that are slightly tweaked post machining.

Nailed it here! Use the same machining file for donut, paint it a different color theme and sell. Same pieces/templates with different stamps, colors, etc and you're making good margin on already developed items.

Love his work, just wish his putters were acquirable. Other than a used one showing up out of the blue are they even possible to get brand new? If you follow on social media it looks like a few people who are big collectors or those who have relations with Tyson himself are those who have a lamb flat stick. As much as I love some of their head covers why get one when more than likely a scotty is underneath?

he used to actually post a lot on his stories. not that we're required to see everything behind the scenes but cool post on the cnc machine going making some putter heads. those have stopped a while ago and now only reposted stories of the same users who have his putters, pocket grabs, jones bags sitting against a tree for the gram and whatnot.

This. I think the dude is talented as all hell but not worth my time trying to acquire his good. I've had way better luck with releases as far as "trinkets" and head covers through the HIVE and I actually can match the items I buy to the putter I use. Never understood the point of putting a Tyson Lamb or Swag head cover on a non Lamb/Swag putter. Reminds me of those bozos that put "Type-R" on their Pontiac Grand Prix's or base model Mustang's...

Maybe the hive releases have more available per item or less buzz.... This is just a thought, but I'd bet all the items made for hive releases are put up for sale on the website, where I feel there are certain collectors of Lamb that probably don't even buy it through the website but they message them direct and because they have purchased 100 doughnut markers prior they get dibs on the next batch. Just a thought.

I just ran across this guy's IG account. He looks to be producing the same three heads that Tyson does and his finish work is very similar in my opinion. Thought I'd pass along what I stumbled on since much of the frustration on these Lamb threads seems to stem form lack of putter availability.

Carry on.

I don't understand the collecting aspect and not using something. Or having 30 ball markers or headcovers and not using them. Not saying you're a collector but your statement of "I just can't bring myself to use it for whatever reason" has always baffled me. These things are made to be used. I have four lamb markers and I use whatever two I grab out of my bag first, but they all get used every week.

Logan is based out of California, and routinely shares content through his instagram account of his milling machine, so although the heads may look identical (they both have copied the designs of others), and their finished work may look similar, their are some differences to their styles and finishes on the putters and they are not the same person.

Logan puts out some beautiful work, and had plenty of putters for sale through his Christmas sale, each day he put up a putter or 2 for sale and they would sell very quick. He has just recently started to take custom orders for putters again through his website.

Far from considering myself a collector, think it has more to do with the raised profile of this particular marker. I’ve used a penny as a marker for my entire life, so something with that much mass feels like I’m using a man-hole cover. I’m sure over time I’ll get used to it, it’s just a big adjustment.

I was in the same boat as everyone else here with trying to get a putter from Tyson! Unfortunately, it is near impossible to get one made from him. It is so frustrating!!! I had enough and went to a different custom putter company called Kevin Burns Golf. If you can get out to one of his fittings you will not be disappointed. Kevin is an incredible artist and can capture any idea / theme you want. His putters are made to your exact specifications and feel amazing with the pyramid grooves.
