Sub-70 Golf

I recently picked up a set of the Sub 70 699 irons, pro 3 wood, and 18* hybrid. All I can say is, if you’re on a budget and looking for some great, reasonably priced clubs, don’t look past this company. Their owner, Jason is a great guy who spent a great deal of time on the phone with me to help me pick my clubs and shafts. I won’t get into specifics about how we came to what shafts to play, but I’ve hit the clubs 3x and I can’t express how excited I am. The clubs look and feel great and do everything I could ask for. I play to a 7.5 hdcp and have been searching for new clubs that I could afford. They have a demo program, but after doing my research, I took a leap of faith and bought them without trying them 1st. I don’t regret anything. Quality equipment and extremely competitive prices.

I just looked at their site. Seems like they have a TON of offset. Is that just the pics or is that the case? I'm an MB player usually and even their most bladed iron has a good bit and is strong lofted.

I just ordered the pro 3-wood after the demo, really like the feel and launch of it...agreed that these are a must try if you're trying to stick to a budget.

Ordered one of the wedges on a whim too, but all signs point to good quality stuff.

Can't speak to the irons at all but they have all of the specs (loft, offset, etc.) on their site.

The 699 definitely have offset. Doesn’t bother me in the least. I actually like some offset, maybe just because I’ve always just used irons that had some. I can’t speak to their forged irons and their offset but they are coming out with a 699 pro iron, which I believe has less offset then the regular 699

I was in contact with them last week after stumbling across their website and after some info gathering and email exchange I now await to hear back from them once they have LH 699's on order. I was told they are looking to have them by late spring and will have them available with their demo program as well.

I looked at their site as well. The irons look decent but I'm concerned of the lofts of their blades. They are a bit on the strong side (45d PW) but I'm concerned about the loft spacing on their long irons. The loft on their 639MB 3 iron is 20d but their 4 iron is 22d. If they had their PW at a traditional 47d or 48d then these guys would have more loft room to work with.

Similar concerns with the 699s. I'm used to playing a 48d PW. With the 699s I just ordered the PW is 45d so I'm shopping for a 50d wedge now.

They sell the 50* gap wedge in the 699s. That’s what I bought to help with gapping.
