Last mizuno driver i played was the MP600 and it was in the bag for close to 8 years. I have high hopes for this one!

Mitsubishi Chemical Diamana D+Plus Series is the stock shaft...what year is this?!? Mizuno was REALLY playing to a price point for these clubs, weren't they?  

Wasn't this the stock shaft for Titleist way back on the 917 series? I know they are good shafts and perform well but definitely a step back in the times. Mizuno offered more current shafts over the last two driver product cycles. That alone cheapens the impression of this driver for me.  

Also, those shafts are manufactured in the Mitsubishi factory in China, not the Japanese facility. Quality is still top notch but not the same factory as the other premium Mitsubishi shafts. 

Love the look of these clubs but really surprised at the shaft selection they went with. The accountants were all over that choice.

Yeah noticed that as well. They had a bunch of shafts listed as upgrades but was kind of shocking.

I always thought a large part of the appeal of Mizuno was the large no cost shaft options, kind of defeats the point of swing DNA and everything they have been pushing there doesn't it?

Honestly, most of us should be getting fit anyway. The stock offering is just there for people who won't/can't go get a fitting. Usually those people aren't serious golfers anyway so is the shaft really going to make that big of a difference for them?

While I obviously agree on the "go get fit" point, part of the value proposition for me with Mizzy products was always that when you went and got fit you had a relatively high number of no upcharge options to pick from.

If we are losing that benefit it is kind of bummer. Now it could be that the initial press packages are just unclear, in which case I'll be happy (e.g. Golfwrx story says "added more upcharge shaft options" while MGS says "exotic menu (upcharge amounts vary)"). But I guess I'm just jaded and skeptical when it comes to these sorts of things.

Yes, I agree but... the ST200 is set to retail for $100 less than SIM Max. So... Sell the D+ for $75 or whatever it's worth brand new, and then take that cash + the savings on the head and go buy a Ventus off eBay or whatever upgrade shaft you want. Just because a shaft is more money on it's own at retail doesn't mean it will be better either. I get solid results out of shafts that are 4 or 5 years old that I got for $50 off eBay. Trying to buy golf clubs purely on value is kind of an oxymoron because the whole sport in general is a luxury and generally a pretty bad value all around lol.

Great looking clubs. I don't anticipate seeing too many of these out in the wild. The putters are probably going to be the best part of their early 2020 releases.

Looks great, but doesn't look much different than the ST190 line (drivers, at least). As well as those have produced, going to take something special from these for me to switch.

Super excited about these. I'll stick with the 190 fairways, but will go in for a fitting for driver and hybrid. The 190 was equal to my M2. Can't wait to schedule a fitting. Expecting to be between Mizuno and Cobra. I'll try the big three, but normally can't stand Ping woods and not excited at all with the new Cally/TM woods.

I think I read some in the past about their hybrids being less hook-y than others. This new one looks great and if it has any sort of fade bias I'm ready to quit on my Gapr.

for some people the a flatter lie angle in a hybrid can help with the hooks. The #3 gapr is 60 degrees. The CLK hybrid #3 is standard 57.5, but adjustable 56-59 degrees

I had a CLK this generation and can confirm it was anti left. Very good club, particularly off the deck going for par 5’s.

These look incredible! Mizuno is really starting to round out nicely as a full bag company. Very impressed with the t20 wedges this year as well. This just goes to show how committed they are to the full bag, which hopefully will help them with more wins on tour. Can't wait to test them!

They'll still have the same no uncharge shaft options. They are just adding a list of exotic shafts at an upcharge to the already existing matrix.

Definitely going to be fade biased. They build there hybrids already flatter than normal.

I was really hoping Mizuno would bring out more lofts in the fairway wood line with adjustable hosels. I had the ST190 Tour Spoon for a handful of rounds last year and it was really good, just too hot at 15*. Ball speeds were high and spin was low, it was like a mini driver. I’d love a 16.5 model that I could turn down a click as opposed to turning up the 15* and thus closing the face. Maybe next year..

Does anyone know when these will be available for custom fitting (ideally UK date)? I’ve called a few fitters and some are not planning to get the Mizuno woods in (but sell the irons) and others don’t know when exactly they’ll be available to fit.

Seems strange that a manufacturer trying to increase market share of woods is available to consumers much later than other competitor launches...

The st200 has a custom order shaft list on tgw. Looks like similar shafts that the st190 had. Was hoping they added another premium no charge shaft like the atmos ts black from the st190 but not seeing any.
