Well guys. The SIM line is VERY VERY GOOD

Full disclosure: was hitting the driver with my friends Ventus Black 6x. Mine shipped with a Ventus Blue 7x by accident. Little confusion. Nbd.

SIM TI 3 and 5 wood both with Ventus blue 7x. I prefer heavier shafts in my woods so I’m trying to get used to only 70g range. My current game is a Tensei Blue 90TX.

I hit balls on my GC2 indoors this evening. Not a pretty set up but gets the job done. I generally don’t hit woods inside but made an exception tonight because well...I couldn’t wait haha.

Took pics of my highest ball speed drives. Still a ton of testing to do. Especially outside but looks promising.

Current driver is an Epic Flash SubZero Double Diamond with Ventus Blue 6x. Definitely didn’t pure it and didn’t hit nearly as many shots. Without a doubt though the SIM is 2-4 faster on well struck shots...FOR ME

Thank you for all your details regarding the SIM driver. A SIM 8* is coming this weekend to compare to a Mavrik SZ 7*. I will be curious if the SIM can beat early testing on the Mavrik SZ. If your ball speed gains of the SIM over the Flas SZ it will be interesting. The Mavrik SZ was consistent with spin in 1900-2100 Range.

Wow, that like 30yards more carry and 50 yards longer than Cameron Champ !!! Im guessing that is 144mph swing with 215 ball speed ? I can even imagine how far that would go with a 20 mph tailwind on a hot day and firm fairways. Might be able to ace a short par 5

I was for the driver. Had a little mix up with what was built. I've been working with the correct people to see if I can exchange what was sent. If it happens, great and that would be awesome. If it doesn't, honestly that's okay with me. GolfWRX and Taylormade were more than generous for the entire trip!

Haha yeah we've had a couple small issues that are being worked though but Taylormade has been awesome so far! I'm still waiting for my bag but have all my clubs and putter. I CAN'T WAIT for some warm weather in Ohio so I can get some swings outside!

 

I upgraded my putter on my own with a Stability Tour shaft and Superstroke 1.0p grip. It feels GOOOOOOOOOD!

Shipping did take a bit, but there has been a huge demand for the new SIM line. The hype is real and this is a great line. The sound and feel is that solid thwack and not the high pitched that has become common.

I just noticed this morning that Justin Rose is swinging a SIM. There are quite a bit of non-TM staffers that are moving to the SIM line.

TM has been amazing with their generosity in this event.

You guys are monsters. I’m already in traction thinking about those swing speeds to be able to carry the ball 330, 350, etc. ??. That seems like a once in a lifetime experience and yes I’m jealous. Both for the trip and the ability to hit the ball like that. LOL

I played my first round with my new SIM driver, 3 wood, and P790 3 iron. Due to the course, I only hit my driver off of 7 tees due to the layout. I hit 4 of seven fairways. The three I missed were missed by very little. The first miss was 3 feet right of the fairway. My second missed fairway was because of an unfavorable kick dead left into a bunker. The last was when I hit into bunker in front of a drivable par 4. Either way, the dispersion was so much better than with my previous 915D3. The three wood is crazy long for me. I hit is fron three tees with one being a par three that played 253y and played into a 10mph wind. Surprisingly, I flew the green. These clubs are definitely a great addition to my bag. I already have more confidence in the top of my bag than previously.

Below is a picture of the GPS for my first on course drive with my new SIM. I wasn't swinging crazy because this course was a bit tricky off the tee.

Played yesterday and the SIM 3 wood was a serious weapon, it was pretty windy and the greens were sh*te but hey, it's golf!

well first round of the year and it went pretty well!

Very short golf course so I got some good opportunities to hit all 3 woods off the tee. The 5 wood is AWESOME off the tee. I've never played a 5 wood before and I will admit I was worried it would be a club that I just hit too high and thus wouldn't enjoy playing it. It's piercing. Nice and flat....but still high enough to hold greens. Not spinny at all.

 

I hit the driver REALLY well. Definitely hit more fairways than usual. Tough to comment on distance this early because fairways were so soft (like zero roll out, soft) but it's definitely not any shorter than my Callaway. Sounds incredible. Very muted THUD which I enjoy.

 

First time with the putter as well. I think I'm going to really like it with the Stability Tour putter shaft.

Excited for the weather to turn so I can play some more and provide some numbers on outside swings!
