I'm amazed there are still this many people on WRX that haven't had any kind of fitting still. All I ever remember about this site was to go get fit.

Have fun, I was on the Reynolds Kingdom trip when the Sldr came out. This should be something you won't forget anytime soon.

Well I’m an Midwest guy so as I lay around at 4am I figure I’ll give you guys some details of yesterday!

The group got together at the hotel bar and everyone met for the first time before heading to a local restaurant for some dinner and a SIM product presentation by 3 guys who work for Taylormade. Ryan (Taylormade) met us at the hotel and walked in with some TM swag bags which were awesome! Very nice draw string bag filled with a bunch of goodies! At dinner we got to talk pretty in depth about the new technology, why they believe it works, etc. Driver, fairways, hybrids, and irons. The entire line up. It was so cool to pick the brain of Tomo who lead most of the product presentation. The guy has a ton of knowledge about golf clubs and the research behind the shape, materials, etc. It’s really cool to get an understanding how just how long OEMs have ideas about what they want a club to be, before it actually becomes real. Learned last night that in some cases were talking about years and years between idea/concept and reality.

Got to see the clubs in hand for the first time as well. Man do they look good! Playing position...maybe the best I’ve seen. I’ve always loved the look of TM drivers though, especially the M5. I think the new chromium (I think) carbon really takes the SIM a step above the M5 though.

The SIM Max hybrid was the biggest surprise for me. From the sole it kind of looks like it would have this big rounded toe...but at address it is surprisingly compact and looks AWESOME. Super square when soled which is a rarity for hybrids. Can’t wait to hit it today!

All in all it was an awesome night! Learned a lot of the science behind SIM and more than anything it was so fun to just sit around and talk with those guys. Hear some stories of tour guys. Pick their brains about the industry. Whatever we wanted to ask they were 100% willing to answer.

Yep. When I went on the Kingdom/Farmers Pro Am trip several years ago, I was up at 3:30 am as well. And that was after flight delays I arrived at the hotel at 12:00 after everyone else had gone to bed.

Sleep waited until I got back home that week.

It was definitely my top golf experience. I credit that trip as being the catalyst for a bunch of good things that happened in my life subsequently. Enjoy the process and good luck if you guys play Aviara.

The V Steel sole is incorporated in to both fairway woods as well as the hybrid! From what they said, the geometry is the same or very very close to the original design

Awesome!!! I am sooooo looking forward to reading the comments and seeing the photos. The memories of the 2018 M3/M4 TwistFace event are flooding back.

We still have an active text chain that fires up every now and again from that event so lasting friendships will also be gained.

.... and if any thread followers are wondering. I still have my Kingdom built M4 in the bag!!!
