Yeah man if you don’t like the offset go play an entirely different, less forgiving head! Don’t you dare tweak this club offering to fit your needs/wants!

Played a round with mine today, and the feel is what struck me most. Very crisp when struck well and great feedback. Distance wise you get what you expect, longer than T100. I’m comparing these to P790 and nothing seems to be longer than those, but these feel much more consistent in their front to back dispersion. If you were considering T200 but can’t take the feel or offset these are almost as long. Pretty pleased with them initially especially considering my swing wasn’t great today.

The skeptic in me thinks that sales of T100 are lacking, so the S is a desperate effort revitalize the Model and to potentially target a niche in the market. Players who want the tour look, “forged” iron and tour feel but need jacked lofts. Basically instead of categorizing the T100 with the CB and MB, the T100s is categorized with the T series. T100s makes it easier to combo set with the t series where as the t100 combos with the MB/CB. I guess time will tell to see which sells better and which one titleist will continue with in the future. I don’t imagine they will continue with both offerings. T100/T100s seems like more of a market experiment to me.

also, why PX LZ as stock shaft for the S? Not that it matters since most should be custom fitting anyways but stronger lofts with a stout shaft? Titleist must really want people to hit low launchers with these irons.

Modus 105 stiff in the Titleist but that was a different fitter than the P790 with DG105. Not sure the DG105 is a better ball flight to my my eye but that’s seeing it in a different club head. The T100 are at least 5-7 yards shorter on long irons due to lofts, seem to match up more evenly on short iron lofts. Haven’t hit side by side yet. Feel is tons better, I didn’t realize how much the P790 masked by its softness... good or bad Shot almost felt the same. T100 you will know when you hit it we’ll immediately... probably much less forgiving but more consistent if that makes sense.

I have the modus 105 from a Standard T100 fitting that I just carried over. I hit the ball very high with these and that shaft. Totally agree with your comments, if you read the older thread I posited the same theory. The T100 never should have been just the T100S to match lofts better. Honestly these aren’t that long but looking at lofts it makes sense. Feel and turf interaction are awesome. If you decided on Titleist these give you an option now.

I will say spin seems to be more what I’m used to compared to TM’s. No massive roll outs on greens, and partial shots are way easier to execute. That’s the real trade in forgiveness I think to me, if you just want to blast it far and relatively straight P790 does the job better. These are still a true players iron first with about 1/2 to a club longer than the standard T100 which seem redundant now to me.

I actually think they look slightly better at address then the original T100. I find irons that are strong lofted aka P790 type look better at address then standard lofts. Something about it fits my eye better. Cant wait to hit them when the world opens back up. All courses and Ranges are closed in MA + trying to get out of the city is a pain right now

I was certainly worried about what the ballflight would be with the stronger lofts, since I only had a chance to hit the regular T100, but I can say these launch just fine. I kinda went down a rabbit hole this year and tried to hit almost everything that was being raved about. What I ended up learning is hitting them off grass is super important, and you need more than one day (or round) to really know. That being said being a lifelong AP2 guy pretty much, these give me a little more distance which I like. No issue with launch, but I will say they are not as long for me as the P790 but they do seem to be much more consistent. I actually think I hurt myself by trying too many different options and constantly comparing, when my swing at a 6 handicap isn't an iron byron. I will say I have learned that different brands interact with the turf totally differently. I have always gotten along very well with the Titleist sole, and honestly was very impressed with the P790 sole despite being surprised but how wide it was. Mizuno MP20 HMB just didnt work for me from the get go,and the hollow feel was noticeable. The feeback that the T100 offers I believe will help improve my ballstriking that I got kinda lax with when playing the P790. You can hit the P790 anywhere near the center and it all kinda feels the same, which if I only hit those I would think was just fine. A pure strike with a T100-S and you are reminded what the sweet spot feels like vs a near miss. Not sure these can be ordered right now anyway, but anyone on the fence should give these a try..

I went nuts and ordered full sets (one at a time) and flipped the ones I didnt keep, it was really stupid but I figured life was too short to just hit a 7 iron. I started with T200 but couldnt handle offset and looks, then stuck with P790 for the summer. Tried the T100 for a week but couldn't live with the weaker lofts once I got used to stronger irons. Tried the MP20 HMB and didnt get along with the sole at all, finally have settled with T100-S just in time for golf to be shut down. My assistant pro has the apex pros but just switched to the x forged. I had played those a couple seasons ago and can say the x forged are nice comparison to AP2 series, but I just didnt like the hosel to leading edge transition as much. The P790 impressed me the most but the factors that turn me off are wide soles and the lack of distinct feel of the strike. They didnt create flyers so much as pure strikes took off like a driver. I honestly could have stuck with them if I wasn't such a Titleist fanatic for no logical reason. I still have them as my backup set.

For those of you buying a set of these T100-S, what do your wedge setups look like or what do you plan to use?

I play T100 1 deg strong and have been thinking for awhile now about maybe going with a set of the T100-S to help bring my ball flight and spin down. Like that I could do that while maintaining bounce and offset since my current T100 irons bent strong add offset and reduce bounce which are not ideal for me. Just worried about wedge gapping since I only have room for 3 wedges after the 44 deg PW. I currently play T100 PW 45 deg, SM7 50 deg bent to 49 deg, 54 deg, and 58 deg wedge. I'd likely go with 48, 52 bent to 53 deg, and 58 deg. Not sure how much I want to use a 48 deg vokey though. Think I'd possibly be able to move back to ProV1x balls as well since I love the look and feel, they are just spin machines since they changed them a few years back.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, I'm just very familiar with a vokey 52* from forever so finally made the switch to 50* to better match stronger PW's. I guess I could go 48* vokey then 54* then 60* but I like 50* range for chipping.... anything in the 40's and i just feel like it will come out too low. I might be weird
