I have tried it and it is very good. What do you want to know?

Launch? Spin? What does it adjust to? How does it sit? Will my local store finally have one in stock? Why does the cobra rep have so much territory?

I really like it. If you are looking for a secondary option off the tee this would work really well in the slot.

the Big tour name is a bit misleading as this is in no way “big”. It is not a mini driver. I don’t know the numbers, but using my eyeball ruler it is probably very close to the standard cobra speedzone fairway in size. It is slightly deeper. The rails on the bottom are flat so that it sits lower to the ground.

the center of gravity is closer to the face so that it is low spin. But the kept the size to keep it relatively high MOI. So it is forgiving, low spin and pretty long. I am pretty impressed with it.

I have hit it off the deck and it can be done pretty easily considering the loft which is standard at 13.5, but can go as low as 11 I think.

I do not think a fairway shot will be its forte though. This was designed to be more of a fairway finder of the tee I think.

Thanks, I tend to hit fairway wood off the tee a lot so this is good to know, but I also will hit it off the ground. Realistically, your looking maybe 2 to 3 rounds at most depending on the par 5's that I would hit it off the ground. It is probably closer to one time.

I know they are saying its "big" but that is only comparison to the Cobra tour fairway. The big tour is smaller than the new TM fairways and similar size to the Callaway ones.

Yes, it is only in comparison to the tour fwy. That sounds accurate in size comparison. I know that this was designed in attempt to get the LTD fairway woods out of Bryson’s and Lexi Thompson’s bags. I don’t think they have pulled them yet but that was part of the thinking. They wanted a low spinning high, or higher MOI fairway wood. I would say they are successful in their execution. Even if it is a bit of a niche club.

Not really low spin. I would say the tour is lower spin. But for a larger higher MOI head. It’s low’ish.

Big Tour 3 wood is primarily a tee club. Rails are for improved turf interaction off the deck, and does not do much for performance off the tee. This was also designed as a replacement for the LTD 3 wood which did not have rails.

I would disagree that it's primarily a tee club. I have no problem hitting off of turf mats which will tighter than any fairway lie. I'll snap some pics against the F9 fairway I have. Look same size from address, big tour slightly deeper face but not by much.

really impressed by The Big Tour and have a Sim Ti 14 on the way to compare

Face depth looks much deeper but head height is not much higher, I just think the F9 face ends early and rolls to the top of the crown.

Round 1 hitting off mat into my woods with no hard evidence or numbers, leaning Big Tour. Big Tour is set to 12.5D and hitting straight to slight fades that get up quickly and appear to be low spin. Sim TI Rocket 14* set to 15.5* appears to be about same apex, much more left to right (fade) movement compared to Big Tour and seems to be spinning a touch more, although still felt really good.

Hopefully can get to the course next weekend and hit side by side.

Am currently playing the LTD at the lowest loft I can and tried the Big Tour a couple weeks ago. I have no issues hitting fairways off the deck and didn't know anything about the new Cobra fairway offerings because I wasn't feeling like my LTD needed to be replaced. The guy at PGA SS kept calling it the 'Big Tour' and it didn't make sense to me, other than weight fixed forward it looked like any other fairway, not big, face height isn't intimidating or noticeably deep at address. I played a Razr Fit Xtreme, Epic Subzero, and now the LTD, I prefer a shallow face and this didn't bother me at all. The thing I did notice, and liked, was the swing weight felt a little higher, I knew where the head was the whole time but it didn't feel sluggish. I hit the Srixon, Sim, before this, all with a Smoke shaft and the Cobra spun more , Srixon and TM were both 22-something and Cobra was 25-something and therefore had a bit more carry but still rolled out just fine. If I was going to buy a new fairway, it would be the Big Tour. Srixon was too light and the TM was either lefts or rights and the look at address was not pleasant to me.

Just to give an update, ended up keeping the Big Tour over the Sim Ti Rocket. Never did a full on side by side but on the range off of grass was so much more consistent with the Big Tour.

plus I like the size/shape of the Big Tour better.

I was disappointed. The fact that I’m across the border didn’t help as golftown didn’t carry in Canada. So big mistake to order on a whim. Head profile was way smaller than my gamer g410. Couldn’t get comfortable win the small need size. And down turning the loft to 11 degrees did not open the club face, in fact shots tended to go left regardless. I had the Limited 3 way back when for about A year.
