The Newport 2 is back to the tour shape - or pretty freaking close. This is very intriguing to me and I will be trying that one out.

Is the toe flow on the Flowback 5 the same as older Scotty models with the single bend shaft? Can someone please post a picture of the toe hang off a table? Thanks

its to get the sweet spot in the middle of the putter. Due to the extra weight Heel side from the neck. Otherwise the sweet spot is actually off-centre to the alignment line.

This might be a stupid question but has anyone got the head weights for these? Particularly the Squareback?

I find it so strange that the head weight isn't on the product page these days.

from what I’ve read. Blades 290 empty. Mallets 330 empty.

34” np2 will play 360g now with stock 35g weights

There is a 1st off 500 batch, so I would say yes. The stamping is on the sole and the headcover is half red half black with 1st of 500 embroidered on it.

I just spoke with the studio and the Newport 2 bare head weight is 280g, the swingweight for a 35” with 2x30g weights is D8

I love the way the Pistolini Plus feels, but not the graphics. I’m going to install a black with red dancing Scotty Cameron and make it a plus grip by adding 2 extra wraps under the bottom hand. I’m also replacing the headcover as that it’s also not my cup of tea. The putter itself is well worth a look. It is very well balanced and stays square when you sole it. The feel off the face is a solid but soft feel that is easy to control distance with. I feel this putter is all around superior to the insert models and even the Phantom X.

This is just my personal opinion as others will have different experiences. My Scotty Cameron days started in 2004 with a new Studio Design 2.5, since then I’ve had a Select M1, Futura X7, 5.5m, 2018 Laguna, Concept X CX-01, Three EVNROLL’s, PXG Gen1 & 2 putters. I always come back to the Newport 2 style Scotty.

In the end it’s the flatstick that makes you feel the most confident when at address, and rolls in the putts. I didn’t get custom fit until a few months ago which I highly recommend so you find the right style of putter or toe hang that fits your arc of stroke. Mine just happened to be a Plumbers neck or medium toe hang. Trust me it makes a difference.

Went in today to buy a Delmar, my mind was made up I needed on and putted with it all over the fake green and made a few here and there but nothing amazing. The guy watching me hands me a $99 Wilson in just about exactly the same shape and made the same number of putts and franky they felt same.

 

I was so confused I bought a Bettinardi Queen B#9 it felt a lot better and made a lot more putts. Now off to the real grass and see what happens.
