Interesting that they moved the front brake caliper from front to rear position model to model on the front brake .  How far apart in years are those two ?

Mine's a 2020.

Got it at the end of May 2020 when Audi was "giving" them away.

Your buddy probably already knows but he can get a boatload of $$$ for his car in this crazy market. I can probably get about $5K over what I paid for mine. bow down.gif

I've never owned a Corvette but 3 months ago somehow got the bug. But due to the pandemic easing and supply line shortages/outages prices are obscene. TEAR HAIR.gif

Often $4K over the ORIGINAL sticker price for a BASE 2019. Ridiculous. Prices are starting to ease a little bit but still incredibly inflated. :classic_sad:

Yea. I hadn’t followed the market at all , havent bought since 2012.  But I had started paying attention as I’ll need to buy sometime in the next 4 years or so , I plan to let the 12 year old have my 2012 and buy myself a new truck.  And I was shocked by pricing for sure. And I’m far from a base model penny pinching buyer.  I guess I’m in between as I do average 300 k on a truck before buying another. Takes around 12 years to do that usually. Lol.

I always loved Jeeps, Mustangs and Ferarris.  I owned two modified Jeeps I would take to Moab often.  Despite a strong desire, I never got around to owning a '60s Mustang.  Currently have a 2016 GT, which is super fun to drive and offers a lot of performance at its price point.

I had a 15 GT premium and absolutely loved it. Miss that car for sure. My wife has an 18 base ecoboost. They are not the same, lol.

I have always wanted a jeep, but never owned one. We rented a ‘20 Sahara 4 door last week for a trip to the Keys. It was a very different driving experience than anything I’ve driven from a handling standpoint. Steering was just different. Not better, not worse, just something I would have to get used to. It had the 4cyl turbo, and was quite peppy. Drove good, smooth Er than I remember Jeep’s, and according to the lie-o-meter was averaging 28mpg. P was quite impressed. It was quieter than I thought it would be with a soft top. Makes me want to look into trade values for my Ram and take the plunge.

Doing your best Mustang impersonation? Off the road and on the grass (at least there are no bystanders...)?  😉    I've long considered one of these... especially the WB, and there's a dealer within walking distance... but it would suck in the winter (I had a Chevy SS Sedan RWD and it sucked in the winter and this would be the same). Been looking at getting an SUV for the dogs anyways... BUT What I don't get, though, looking at the rangos, is the SRT Durango, with the SAME 392 as the R/T Scat pack with WB, is $15k more. Boggles the mind. I can see $5k and MAYBE $10k for all the bells and whistles due to the AWD vs RWD and a couple extra seats... but $15k is highway robbery. Never mind $22k more than the NON WB version.

Challenger was always a dream car of mine also. I do have extra room in the garage now...

However like @Imp says it's pretty useless here in our winters. If i got a sports car to go with my truck it'd probably have to be an STI , Golf R or the upcoming GR Corolla

Yeah, my car sits about 4-5 months of the year. It is not my daily driver. My wife was gracious enough to let me buy it.  I really wanted to replace the 1969 coronet r/t that i sold in 2006, but the prices are crazy, and one never really knows what lies beneath 50+ years of paint, mechanics, etc…

Still very nice and I've always been a Chevy guy and back in the day my friends had 426 Hemi Cuda's, 426 Hemi Roadrunners, 440 sixpaks, etc., Boss 429's, ShelbyGT350, one guy from a wealthy family had an AC Cobra.

Here's what I posted in an earlier post in 2020, I'm an old guy that loved muscle cars when I was a teen and in my 20's. I had the following cars and it makes me sick to see the value nowadays watching a car auction. If we could have only seen into the future regarding muscle car values.

1.   1957 Chevy stepside with a stock 283

2.  1967 Chevelle 396 L78

3.  1964 Nova with a pumped up 327

4.  1956 Chevy with a pumped up 327 that rattled windows at idle and got 4 miles per gallon. Also ran 4:88 gears so could only drive ~50 miles an hour on the freeway.

5.  1969 Camaro SS 350

6.  1969 Camaro Z28 with factory cross-ram

7.  1970 Chevelle 454 LS6

Non-muscle cars that I owned

1. 1984 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE that I added a full body kit and had custom rims made for 255's in the rear and 225's in the front. Slight engine modification

2. 1963 Porsche 356 S90

3. 1964 Porsche 356 SC

4. 1966 911

Now the old guy drives around in one of the two Mercedes that we have.

I picked up a cherry of a 2009 Mercedes E350. Snowbirds must have used it for dinners out at 3:00 on Wednesdays only.

Speaking of possible future values, I should have never traded off my 1995 Volvo T5R..

Glad to see some other Audi guys here. I’ve always been a truck guy, had several Ford trucks but I also have a soft spot for German cars too. Picked up a 2016 Audi A6 a few years back with the 3.0T supercharged V6, put a simple tune and smaller s/c pulley on it and it keeps up with 95% of the cars on the road. I don’t have any great photos of the car but I’ve attached a 0-60 run I did shortly after tuning the car. It’s no RS7 but it’s still more than enough.

My dream car is a Porsche, some beauties on here for sure. classic or new, they’re all beautiful

Thought I’d share this.  I’ve stumbled into a rabbit hole of sorts.    This has to be one of the most impressive driving displays I’ve ever  seen. This is a 63 galaxie in road race trim , and she’s a handful.  I could listen to that 427 all day.

This one requires some patience. But is worth it.  Listen to the car at low speed for a minute. Hear the straight cut geared transmission , then fast forward a few minutes to the actual racing.  Watch a few laps , he passes a few. Gets passed back.

Then fast forward towards the end ( 15:50 mark ) snd find the last  restart.  It’s worth the hunt.  This 427 mustang  finally gets an open spot and absolutely destroys the two cars in front of him. And then runs away.

What do you guys currently jlove in large SUV’s?

Twin has had nightmare issues with a new Suburban.

I think i am heavily leaning on just getting another Sequoia.

My 2010 has 360,000km on it and has had zero mechanical issues in 11 years.  (I had the same luck prior with 4 other Toyota’s incl a 4 Runner)
