I took them both with me on a week long golf trip and the Staff Model won out.

I’ve had some time with mine now and can truly say they are fantastic irons. The feel/sound and performance is exceptional. Not a steel shaft player any longer so the re-build is currently underway. First observation the bore thru design is purely cosmetic they are taper tips. I’m relieved to say the shafts pulled very easily with low heat and without damaging the sole pin plugs what so ever. First huddle successfully navigated! Waiting on a set of Fujikura Pro IP 95i shafts to be delivered. I’m really excited about this setup and they should be in the bag for a while. BB

Are the Fuji 115’s the Pro Tour model? I was torn between those and the Pro IP 95’s. The Tours don’t offer IP so that solved that vanity problem. I’ve always found the heavier (thicker) the graphite shafts theres significant loss in feel. I compensate by building them really well with tungsten rubber sole weights and GP Plus 4 grips. Just a way to fool the brain and add a few grams back to the overall build. It’s worked out super well for me plus I benefit from superior feel (my opinion) of a sub 100gr graphite shaft.

I don’t see the progression, these irons are totally different. I’ve never been a fan of blending sets unless they where designed to flow, ie. Cobra etc.

NM, that's not accurate. The Golf Shack in Rockford IL. has quite a bit of Wilson stuff and they aren't listed.

They are beuatiful and I am sure awesome in the right hands. Wilson Golf has a way with irons. BUT I do not understand how a company that makes the best baseball and softball bats and also owes Louisville Slugger cant make woods to round out their line. It is ridiculous. Not sure they have had a good driver since they stopped making them out of wood.

I don't know, the new D7 has some fans. I'd try it but I haven't had the itch to try a different driver since I put my G400 in the bag.

Not to hijack the thread. Another day of social distancing....

D7 is quite good. I’m not sure a driver out there sounds any better than the D7. I have the 9 degree, which has the low-spin internal weight placement.

Stock build is purposely light with a light grip and a quality Helium 59g shaft. Head is in the 192-194g range. I think there is a substantial group out there who benefits from that lighter build and may not know it. It is very well-balanced. I need a little more weight. It is lighter like the Callaway Rogue. I have hammered some drives with it but more wandering contact vs an old Ping G30 I use as a control driver. It has a 75g Oban shaft in it. Seems like 65-75g is where I make most consistent contact.

Easy to retool with a different shaft. Not as easy to hotmelt but maybe there’s a way. It has no port or removable weight. That’s really the only issue: Can I get 10g of weight in the head? Would take a lot of lead tape. Grabbed it new for $199.

It has surprised a few reviewers:

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 10.5 w/Diamana TB 60S

PXG GEN6 5 wood w/Diamana S-plus 70 stiff

Yamaha RMX VD 7 wood w/Diamana S-plus 70 stiff

Callaway Mavrik Pro hybrid (22) w/Aldila Tour Blue 85 stiff hybrid

Wilson Staff Model CB 5-G w/DG s300 shafts

Edel T grind 54 w/Nippon 125 wedge shaft

Fourteen RM-12 58 w/Dynamic Golds400

I've used my Wilson blades all season and my handicap went from a 10 to a 8. I can't credit that all to the Wilsons but they sure didn't hurt me. The biggest compliment I can give them is the fact I sold them and ordered another set with a different shaft. That's how much I love them.

What shaft did you go with this time?

I have a set of MP4s that I bought used with a shaft that fits in fall of 2018 (XP 105 R300), but truthfully my ball striking sucks too bad to use them well.  I could probably get by 7i-PW, but starting with the 6i misses can be an issue.

The TE Forged seem to be just forgiving enough for me to keep the 5/6 irons playable.

Had them in the bag for awhile now, actually prefer the long irons over the short ones. Might just swap the PW for a vokey. Otherwise they are incredible, forgiving, feel great, and I have had some great scores with them in the bag

Driver = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max-D

3 wood = Callaway Smoke-Ai Max HL

3 Hybrid = Taylormade Stealth Pro
Irons = 4-PW Miura KM 700
Gap Wedge = Miura HB 50*

Sand Wedge = Taylormade MG2 56*

Putter = LAB DF3

Ball = TP5x pix

Haven't gotten to play them, only take them to the range, but they are pretty pure so far. I'll update once I play. For now: great look at address, great fit to my eye in terms of head size/profile, and actually have a very decent sweet spot, with little loss if you're slightly towards the heel. They'll punish you for really being out of whack, which is 100% expected with a blade, muscle back, and most player's cavities. Only thing I'm missing I think is the Sensicore magic from my oldie but goodie set I was running before. Feel wise when I really pure them, just like my Mizunos, it feels like I've pretty much just swung through the dirt; no jarring up the shaft, no clicks, just bliss. Yet another set reminding me why I love a nice forged iron.

Easy to work the ball as far left or right as you want, including going full Bubba-style with them. Looking forward to seeing how well they stop coming into greens. Flight is good, no ballooning even during some pretty windy sessions. Review update after some rounds.

Just bought a set of these in 3-PW.

I have an indoor simulator so decided I would get them to learn to strike the ball better and get more feel.

I play P790s at the moment and they will remain in my bag, but the W/S blades will get a lot of sim use until I learn how to hit the things well.  I am expecting a lot of poor strikes and distance loss at first... but figure as a set to learn 'the hard way', it will be interesting.

If I can get strike and distance up to my P790 level (as of now) then I'd be delighted.

I don't hit it long  - 160 carry with a 7 iron P790.
