"Players" iron with larger head size and wider sole

As others have said Mizuno JPX 919 Forged or TM P790. Mizuno a bit more "player" looking IMO. Had a combo forged/tour set I used last set and the forged were super easy to hit (4-5 iron).

Wilson FG Tour F5 irons have a more generous sole than others in that category.

Cobra King Forged Tour/Fly-Z+/Amp Forged look wayyy better and are more what you're looking for than Forged Tec

 

Also check out Bridgestone J15 DPF. Longest heel to toe I've ever seen on an attractive players iron

PXG 0211s are awesome looking as far as the top line and forgiveness and I think they're a little longer heel to toe! I love mine better than p790s IMO

The 0211"s are on the radar. What shafts are you playing? How do you find the dispersion compared to p790"s?

True Temper Elevate Tour Stiff IMO there are less "fliers" than p790. I feel like these are pretty true to distance. No hot rockets and I've never hit the ball as straight and at the greens/pins as I am with the 0211s and that is saying a lot because my approach shots and GIR were not very good before. So forgiving all over the face as I don't always hit dead nuts out of the middle every time. I'm sold, honestly best irons I've had but I haven't had mizzys, or played exotic forged brands so can't say for certain but they are great FOR ME!

Just went through a fitting and the 0211's were the clear winner for distance and consistency over pretty much all of the other options in the category. Optimal shafts ended up being Project X LZ's

How do you find the sole reacts in dry, wet conditions? And out of the rough?

If you're saying that you think the sole is big/chunky I don't think so or if the way it's shaped/cut is a hindrance to how well it performs in various conditions I didn't find any difference

I think I've made my choice. Probably going to pull the trigger on the Cobra Forged Tec irons. They have the size and minimal offset that i'm looking for, and dispersion is among the best of the irons I tried.

Funny thing though... As I stated in the OP, I hate allot of offset. While I was waiting for the pro shop guy to change out shafts for me, I grabbed a Ping G410 iron that was sitting there. Had the stock Ping AWT stiff shaft in it. Distance was shorter than the Forged Tec by a full club, but my dispersion was fabulous. The best of all the irons. I bet I dropped 10 balls within a 10 foot circle. Never realized how stupid easy SGI irons were to hit.
