I’m looking forward to this one. I can totally understand that there will be some people for whom this is an easy pass but as a spectacle, it is something different from the norm. I usually enjoy getting to watch it. Of all the desert courses, this one definitely seems to be that one that I enjoy watching the most as well. Hoping that JT can bounce back from the MC at the Sony. He has played well here in spells in the past.

I like this event, always have, but I hate what the 16th has become. Of course I can separate the 16th from the rest of the event but I just hope the TV people don't overly focus on it.

While many purists mock this event it has a knack for identifying players who can win majors. My theory is that it isn’t the course that prepares them it’s the ability to block out the frat party while trying to make a 5 ft sliding putt that prepares them. At least the tourney doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t. Weather forecast is pretty sweet, should be enormous crowds again.

That's what I like about this tournament. It has it's own character, like it or not, at least it's something different from the other non-majors. More tournaments should be doing something to try and differentiate themselves (like the Zurich). It doesn't have to be a big party but any variety is good.

Any of the boxes with free alcohol are worth it lol

But seriously, that's probably a good one because you won't be in the blazing sun and it's close enough to the end of the course that you won't have to move away early once the leaders get through. If you get a box on like the 10th or 12th, the leaders get through super early and then you can't really use it anymore
