I've always hoped that a Ping driver would win out in my fitting, but it's been TM in my two fittings. Perhaps this could be the winner!

As I have posted here a few times already I think we can make few assumptions right away from the images:

 

Raised crown: Better aerodynamics = more speed. Forgiveness doesn't take a hit because the main weight is still low and back like SIM/SZ/F9.

 

Smaller travel for the weight (draw/neutral/fade): You can adjust the face closure just like you could on the G410+ but with the smaller travel the MOI doesn't take the huge hit it did in the G410+. G410+ was way less forgiving with the weight in the Draw setting for example.

 

Cavity behind the face "speed slot" : Must be an acoustics thing, G410+ did improve on the sound of G400 but about 90% of the tour players still had hotmelt on the face to dampen the sound, maybe this will make it sound a bit better. Also could help the face be a bit hotter down low.

 

The face seems to use the same heat treated --Forged Face-- as G410+ and that's not a surprise, it was one of the hottest faces around in 2019 and felt great. 

 

To me the LST looks a bit more rounded, maybe a smaller footprint was requested by the tour..

 

IMO all these updates seem very good, G410+ was already a great driver and that's why I was not expecting huge overhaul, more of an refinement of the design. Based in the pics alone this is a contender for the 2021 bag. Can't wait for more info on the release, they could be out very soon, the fact that TXG has already tested them is pointing out that these will be released soon!

Ian mentioned in the JPX921 live test that he has hit it.  Sounds like he just hit it a few times when meeting with the rep.  Matt has not seen it.

There is a YouTube video (Search G425, channel name “GOLF PLAYING 4”) that appears to be shot somewhere in APAC  that shows some spy shots in a player’s hands of the Driver and a fairway wood.  As some have said, definitely turbulators, definitely a black, grey, white, color scheme, there’s even a head cover shot.  Also, the weights are not in a slot on the back of the club anymore as seen in the pics. They are on the back/ bottom.  Enjoy the blurry photos in their video everyone and ascertain what you wish!

Honestly, if clubs belong to you, you do what makes you happy, it’s your money and you who has to enjoy them.  Super upsetting to see the critical comments.    These communities are unfortunately sometimes getting to the point where unless you are playing some Japanese muscleback, people think a club is ugly.  I actually prefer the look of a techy midsized cavity and a large footprint driver.   Trust me, 99% of golfers would benefit from accepting their skill level, and playing with forgiving clubs that put a smile on our faces.  Don’t tell anyone, I’m not Brooks Koepka, I actually love golf as much as anyone and am still playing with Ping ISI irons because I use more of the face than a half of a dime.  I never understood how the look of clubs sitting in a bag lowered your score.  Have fun, buy what YOU like, paint a club or don’t, just play more golf!

I’m assuming the accent colors won’t stay that way. I’d be surprised if ping didn’t add in some color once the release information comes out. Now what color I have no idea

Still should've done Ping G420 with green accents.  The memes alone would have been worth it.  

 

I do hope the color stays black/grey/white, but just not red.  Anything but any shade of red.   The copper wasn't ideal but it wasn't red.  So I bought the 400 but not the 410. ?

 

I do like to try two releases between drivers/irons...try key word.
