I’ll take some pictures first thoughts incredibly straight and fast.. shaft might be a little high launching but love it.. coming from SIM sound might need some

getting used to but was hitting hard range balls.. need to get on GCQUAD or Trackman now to give proper evaluation.. but fairways should be scared !!!

I love when dudes say that they hit it high.
Day, Rory, DJ are 130 feet and higher with driver so I’m always curious about us real world dudes when we say we hit it too high.

Sick combo though, can’t wait for mine.

Shape is perfect and yer about 120ft.. which is nice but not in a cold England.. 100ft is my number.. need to check spin didn’t look to be climbing at the range 🥰.. shaft was just a swap from my sim shaft.. Hzrdus blue or a Ventus is probably going to be the gamer

Iv moved on from SIM unless you have a strong draw shape it’s a no go to fade biased... No doubt a bomber.. Ping will be as fast but higher spin.. but you won’t find a club as long and forgiving it’s like automatic.. sound is totally ping too

I hotmelt a ton of Ping heads in my shop for that very reason.  With that said, Ping has gotten better acoustically.  I remember the days (pre G25) when the ears would bleed if you were hitting range balls lol.

My ears would ring all the time in the winter hitting range balls before I had my G30 hotmelted

Just curious if you're ordering them with hotmelt to deaden the sound or for a swing weight related reason.

If it's for the sound, how many grams are you adding?

Thanks,

Rod

I do it for both. I request d4 at 44.75 and neutral hotmelt. Not sure how much they add.

I do it for both as well, I know I’ll need right around 6 grams so I asked for that. I think typically people will do right around 2-4 grams for sound

the ironic thing is their earlier g-series(think G2 and G5) drivers had a very pleasant, muted sound to them.

I was able to get out to the range today with the 425 Max. I played the Sim Max all year, loved it, longest driver I have played but at times it was all over the place. Just the initial thoughts of the 425 Max is that it was a nice mid launch with tons of roll out, much more low spin than my experience with the 410 Max. The 425 Max was just incredibly straight, over, and over again. I didn't mess with any of the settings or the weights. I hit about 30 drives or so. I'm not the biggest fan of the Ping Tour 65 Shaft so I'm going to drop the Fujikura Mortore X F3 in it and see what that does.

I don't have any numbers, but I know where I hit my driver on the range and the 425 Max was just as long as the Sim Max but just so straight. Not the biggest fan of the sound but after a few balls that went away.

I think Ping has a winner with this driver. Once I get out on the course I'll follow up as well.

Need to see that baby down by a ball.

Crap, didn't even think about it. It's big, like Sir Mix a Lot, Baby Got Back Big. That doesn't put me off though, it inspires a ton of confidence. Driver is easily the weakest part of my game, the more confidence I can get the better.
