Can you elaborate on the choice? 🍿🍻 how would you compare the flights both off tee and deck and was lst much less forgiving? thanks

The max is a canon.  It feels very powerful and is coming off the face hot.  It's not a knock on the club performance.  I just like the shape of the LST more and I found a good rhythm with it.  I need a flat fairway and these are good but the max is longer heel to toe so it looks like the toe is higher in the max but it's just longer.  Just personal preferences really.  Both are good heads.

@Deuce78 are you going to try the G425 hybrid ? I'm thinking of trying that in place of my 7 wood.

If I buy a stock driver (tour 65 shaft) and regrip it (mcc+4 mid),

—How much will it change the length (since stock grip has arccos)

—How different will Swingweight be

I would likely request a 1/2 inch shorter shaft if I custom order, so just deciding if I might as well go stock and regrip since without the sensor it gets shorter anyway.

Maybe someone else has done the same thing to avoid the wait....

You can just order it without the arccos grips. Then it will be the correct length.

Is it not a little funky that the next head weight option on the G425 Head, below the standard 26 grams, is 15 grams?

My stock Max setup had a 23 and i was able to nab a 17 off Ping to hit my target. The 23 is listed as stock in the SFT and the 17 in the LST. I have no doubt there are others. Pretty sure I did see them listed (maybe in this thread) and there were plenty of options.

Per ping the lightest weight in the LST driver is 14g.  Ping also puts melt inside the LST driver it's not just the back weight.

Has anyone found the g425 to be draw biased. I’ve been using one last two weeks, and don’t notice any draw bias, but other sites seem to be focused on this. So far loving this club, but also waiting to take it outside vs the simulator.

Not in the slightest. I actually find mine to be every bit as neutral to open as my former Cally Epic Flash SZTD. My misses with both clubs were right and my normal flight was/is a slight fade. M

I don’t have a scale. D3 was the request so I assume that’s where it’s at. But, it does feel a little light with the counterbalanced shaft.

Havent hit it yet. Live in Minnesota. Don’t have any club fitters around here so I just bought the shaft blind. Have a sim round tomorrow so hopefully will have an idea after that.

How did it go?🍿

I bought the G425 max because I read that the club was draw biased.  So far, I haven't found that to be the case.  I set the weight in the "draw" position and changed the setting to the small "+" setting.  That has helped me to draw the ball more with this club.  I am struggling a bit with the club because the clubhead is on the heavy side and I am not using a counterbalanced shaft and so swingweight is D6 to D7.  I may have to get a lighter backweight to bring swingweight down.

Go on eBay and get the 15g weigh for the G425 Max. I find it a necessity for non CB shafts. It will bring your SW back down to around D2.

Anyone managed to test Tensei AV Raw Orange 55 vs 65?

Have only managed to test 65 (stiff) which I like and it performs. Curios on how 55 would compare - thinking on it as an option at 45,75-46".

My SS 103 mph.

if i get the chance, i try this out this afternoon. it's also on my shoppinglist. and shops reopend again since the closedown 6 weeks ago.

Does anyone know what moving the weight from the inside (draw) to middle (neutral), to outside (fade) does to the MOI? I thought I remember reading somewhere that counter to what you'd find, the weight in the draw position actually increased the MOI. But I'm not sure where I read that.

My 425 MAX just arrived with the Tensei 55 stiff - have 1 round with it

10.5 set to flat +1* and weight in the fade position

Coming from Mavrik 10.5 SZ rogue shaft

Definitely LOUDER and also higher ball flight.  Need more play to get more feedback, but I'm all in on this driver!

On the contrary, was fit in to the SIM2 9.5 lofted down to 8.5 with Diamana+ R flex

Just picked up the MAX.  It’s as long as anything out there, very forgiving and the sound was much better than I expected after reading/watching reviews.

I agree ,  I was worried because the initial reviews were pretty negative on the sound but I don't find it offensive at all and actually like it.

For those who play 45” and under, what is your sw?

I play G425 Max at exactly at 45".  My swing speed is 110-115 MPH and the most conformable  SW from my experiment is D4.  I have to apply a heavier movable weight, at about 30 grams rather than the regular 26 grams weight.  The total head weight comes at 206 grams.

What swing weight do you play?  Is 206 grams generally speaking too heavy for drivers?

I'm pretty sure that's standard for Ping but heavy by others like Taylor Made and Callaway standard.
