What is the Most You Would Pay for a Two-Day Tournament?

Hi WRX team. Let's say you have the opportunity to play a multi-day, team event at a nice club that is typically either A) hard to get on , or B) expensive. What is the most you would pay to play a fun, two-day event that included golf, food, gifts, prizes, and entertainment (guest speaker, concert, etc.)?

Depends on a lot of ingredients... I have played in a few Pro Ams that cost about $5000 to enter.. and have said no to some two day events that are $200.

A lot of member-guests run more than your max, even accounting for the extra day (If it's a 3-day even)t.

Think your range is way too low. I typically play in a couple charity scrambles each year that cost $125 to $200 each. Luckily, I've also played in a few of these for free when someone with deeper pockets couldn't make it or didn't want to play. Some of the events I play for $150 include golf and cart ($60), nice gift bag ($30), nice dinner ($30), door prizes ($10-40). So, it's not like you're overpaying for anything. There was only one event out of about 10 I played that I thought was overpriced relative to lunch and dinner and giveaways. And that was the most expensive one and most affluent organizers.

A typical member guest up here at a higher end club is about 1000, so 500 a man and then add in another 500-1500 a man for betting ..

granted you generally get a $300 door prize for showing up and you could win 10 grand in cash if you play well

I generally pay $400 to $800 and that's just to start. Add caddie fees (some clubs) and betting And $1500 to $2000 is what you need for some top 2-man invitationals.
