I made on online purchase of Taylormade golf clubs based on the value ($165) of the calculated trade-in of another set of irons. The estimated trade-in value is based on clubs being in "good" condition, which was the case with my irons. After purchasing the new irons, I sent in the old ones and today I received a notification that my credit card was going to be credited for $0 -- not a penny. Please note, that I had brought my clubs into a local golf shop and they offered $150. Will never consider purchasing another Taylormade product!

Damn, just sent out my trade in's from the sim max 3 wood. Still trying to decide between the Sim and Sim max driver. Sucks that PGASS and GG has limited the trade in enhancement to only 1 club this year.

Got my returned clubs today that were not accepted for trade in. No mention of the “missing” club so I have no clue what was lost In transit. Sent back 2 TM hybrids and AP2 714 4-PW. AP2s have a tag on them that says 2-9. They are pretty obviously 4-pw so I’m guessing it was an oversight but that was more than half of my trade in so I’m not too pleased with that.

The rescues are pretty well worn, I can understand those coming back. AP2s look great, likely a mistake on their end

The Rescues have some wear but they don't look abused by any means. Very curious that they were sent back. I've seen far worse items from 3rd party companies like this than that.

That’s an absolute bummer man. I’m still waiting to hear back on my trade in. Hasn’t hit my account but haven’t gotten an email either.

The glare makes the sole of the one rescue look bad. In normal light, it looks used but not terrible. I think they only gave $18 each for the rescues and I still have 3 more just like them so I'll keep using those. The irons are in great shape. May take those somewhere else offering the additional 50% for any new club and buy a putter or something.

Made the jump and ordered a Sim Max 9*. Traded in F9 Speedback Driver, MD5 Jaws, and 2 Cobra MIM wedges, all in pretty good shape so hopefully everything goes smoothly. The several launch monitors sessions have been hit or miss so guess we will see how on course performance goes. Otherwise Sim going up for sale or trade for a Speedzone or mavrik

Update....Just got my refund (credit) notice last evening. I didn't get a notification when they received my trade, just a notice when I was refunded. All went splendidly. I wouldn't hesitate to make another trade...very happy with the results....

got quoted 610 for my trade in and just got an email saying im getting 570 but no clubs are coming back my way....called taylormade and they aren't sure why, they are going to try to figure it out

Still waiting on my trade in credit to be finalized. Hope all goes smoothly. Seems like a hit and miss on positive and negative experiences.

Just got my refund for my first purchase of Sim max woods, they received the clubs on 2/13. Hopefully it will be the same time frame for my sim max driver purchase.

I wanted to put another update out. I just received my full trade credit for my irons. It looks like it's about a 20 day process from the day I shipped to the day the credit email gets sent. I've now done this twice and had good results. YMMV of course but the 50% bonus is hard to beat. My only regret is that I didn't watch PGA Value Guide more closely. That gets updated weekly and TaylorMade seems to pull straight from it. I lost about $30 in trade in value from the weekly fluctuation. Not TaylorMade's fault but simply purchasing a few days earlier would have gotten me another $30.

FYI for anybody still considering this, there is now a date on the top of the TM site saying the promo ends at 11:59 on March 7. I want to say this promotion went longer last year and I was hoping to do more testing before making a move, looks like I'll make a gamble sooner now.

I want to order but struggling on shaft for a SIM Max. Went to try a few locally but no luck finding the proj x riptide shafts to try with the SIM :(

Got my trade credit today. Pleased with how it went. 14 days from the time I shipped the clubs off to the time I got my credit email. 10 days from the time they received the clubs.

They refused a portion of my trade, probably the wedges that I sent. They were fairly worn though so I’m not upset about it.

Overall, it’s a good way to get some decent value on older clubs without going through the hassle of selling them individually or even being able to find a buyer for older items.

Got my full value that I was quoted for on my trade in.

One thing that is better if i trade in locally is that I don't pay the tax on the full value of the purchase, only on the remaining balance after the trade in.

just got my email for my second set of trade ins, very smooth process and would do again. Was worth the wait especially that local stores only allowed one club to get the enhancement plus getting a little extra thru taylormade.

Just had my 2017 p790s rejected.  Pw had some face scratches but 4 thru 9 and gap were pretty pristine....they only want them if they can sell as a set that MUST include PW,. They won't attempt to resurface at all.  Won't take clubs individually.     TM has lost me as a customer.  Sorry, but this is too restrictive and only happens AFTER you have purchased a new set.   I will fight them on the new set since of course they have nothing instock and take months to deliver.

Yep another big whiff for taylormade that they can’t get right.

 

CPO on the other hand will basically take anything. I sent them a metal shafted hybrid once…tons of ladies flex clubs - they never argue or ding your price down. What they offer at trade on the site is always what you get. Fantastic.
