Do you know if Ping is continuing their iblade or will the i59 replace it? I'm looking to order a set of the iblades and want to know if I need to do it within the next few weeks before their gone. I'm assuming it will be a cheaper price point and honestly prefer the more rounded look at address compared to the i59 that has the sharper lines and higher toe. Or at least that's what it seems to me from looking at the pictures.

Ping can tend to have a long shelf life to order older stuff, but they also don't guarantee it. If you want it, order it soon. Everyone on here with retail knowledge feel that the iBlade will get dropped with the i59. Not a guarantee either, but you can order with more options and are more likely to get what you need if you do it soon.

It’s my understanding that these will replace the i-blade. I may have seen and hit them but can’t say 😬 They will have fitting heads to try different shafts which is nice unlike the Blueprints. Also, they are not hollow as some are speculating.

If they are going to be $250/club they hopefully will expand their free shaft choices.

Bonus points for shipping a custom club in less than 3 months 🙃

Hypothetically, how would they compare to iBlades as far as distance and forgiveness on mishits?

Based solely on appearance, and assuming identical lofts, I can't imagine anyone could confidently say that one of these will be longer or more forgiving than the other.

From this view, the i59 looks like it has a larger footprint, but it looks slimmer and more blade-y than the i-Blade from the address position.

I found the iBlade to be extremely forgiving for its profile, but this was also a limitation in that part of that forgiveness (at least or me) was the result of very high launch/spin. If they have adjusted that with i59, I would expect better distance numbers but still with some cavity-back-like forgiveness from a slightly perimeter weighted one-piece forged iron.

[By the way, my previous dig at i59 was solely about cost not quality. I'm generally a fan of Ping's stuff. Even the things I don't particularly like -- looking at you G425 Max -- are well made].

My set up includes the iBlade 5i - if they took away that launch/spin with i59 - I'll still be using the iBlade 5i as I need that high launch/ spin at that loft......its a win win

iBlade is insanely forgiving for its profile, if they kept or improved the forgiveness I’d be willing to wait and pay up

I ordered a set of JPX 921 Tours last week knowing these i59 and T100 were coming out. I figured either set would be more of a 2022 event for me given lead times and what not. This will be my second set of 921 Tours, Lol.

If I were able to hit, I’d say I was only able to hit a couple times and not able to do comparison or see numbers. They looked nice, but weren’t as small from address that I assumed they’d be. The back side looked nice in person. Price will be the killer for me especially if they charge extra for upgrade shafts. Will be $400 plus more than other option I’m considering. It’s nice it comes in fitting head and will be able to test with multiple shafts which I look forward to. Feel wasn’t as soft like what people refer to with Mizuno forged, but I think softer than Blueprints. Nice irons and look forward to release and testing.

Buy a set of S56 or S55 irons, which I believe are better performing irons than any of Ping's more recent product lines.

Hopefully no more times. The truth is that Karsten/Ping business revenues , for more than fifty years now, have always been from golf industry products. Non-golf business has never accounted for more than 5% of Karsten/Ping company annual revenues.

Yes, i59 head appears oversize. Ping had success with the relatively small head size S59, 58, 57, 56, 55 and should have continued that series.

So the i59 head is larger than S55, S59, etc? I know it’s been guessed a few times, but have we confirmed where this falls in Ping’s lineup? Is the i59 closer to Titleist’s T100 or T200?

Except for the S55 and Blueprint, during the past decade all Ping iron models have been midsize or jumbo size.

$250 a club is just insulting enough to prevent me from purchasing a set that I definitely would have purchased if it was priced "normally", which is already too high. Even at $1,399 (for 8 clubs) I would have been tempted. Pretty disappointing

1988 BeCu Eye 2 retailed $1699 - and you thought it was recent

I don't think that is accurate. At least it was not for me. I remember the regular stainless Ping Eye 2 being around $699 for a set and then the Berylliums came out and they were either $100 or $200 more. I wanted a set and my father told me I had to save half the money for the purchase and I was able to scrounge up $400.
