Theres a huge gap from where the grooves end to the toe.  Someone please take pics and post here to clear this up.  Put it side by side other clubs and you'll see.   It looks weird.

Huge?  Let's quantify that..  as in 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" ??  Looking at this photo there is no significant difference from any other club...  maybe everyone else has missed your point?

My point of view - I can clearly see the shorten grooves. Also, the Ping engineer stated as much in that video- It disappears after a few swings and becomes turbohaters all over again -either you don't notice or it's the worst thing since Eye 2's

Once I starting swinging i59 those shorten grooves, became a non factor imo

GolfWRX in a nutshell

I think it is fantastic in this day and age of radical postions to be able to have different opinions and still get along 😎. It is just not what I expected as the next forged iron out of PING, but the last PING irons I played were the Ansers so I am just a passing PING fan.

Off topic a little ..but my pxg xt driver is similar..the round center spot on the face is located heel side of actual center when you compare it to the alignment symbol on top. Almost like they couldn't figure out where to paint the lines. Might be purposeful or just bad quality ..idk

If you hit the ball in the non-grooved area between the toe and where the grooves stop, you might want to look into disc golf! 😂 I agree. And I’ve seen them in person. Didn’t jump out to me whatsoever.

Don't like the shape personally. And there does appear to be way too much grooveless blade at the toe end.

I was contemplating these but the only shaft Ping sent the fitter in XS was the PX LS and I did not care for the feel. Stuck with Wilson, grabbed a set of Staff CB's with X100, couldn't be happier.

I hit the demo the other day and my first thought was that the grooves did not go as far out in the toe as I am used to at first glance.  Grabbed my Zx7 to compare and the grooves actually stopped at the same place toward the toe. There was actually slightly less on the i59 toward the hosel but it would definitely be a shank if hit that close to the hosel anyways.

I am digging the squatter grooves. More focused.

How much more forgiving do you think i500s are compared to these? And trajectory?

i500 aren't forgiving- this isn't a fair comparison i59 vs i500. You need to compare iBlade vs i59 forgiveness

i500 are terrible on high toe- probably one of the more punishing modern misses

Spot on, I'd go as far to compare the forgiveness level of the i59's to the i210's, it's crazy how forgiving and consistent they are.

Curious if others see big differences in the photos that Minarets posted above.  I really don't except that the Srixon does look a bit chunkier in the top line.

I'd love to see a side-by-side between the i59 and the Blueprint.

I don’t notice much, for sure.

The grooves placement isn't as bad as some people are making it out to be when you see them next to other clubs...

Hit the demo with same shaft as my own irons. Very weak flight and very little forgiveness. Not sure who Ping are aiming at.

Had the opposite experience. Nice penetrating flight and almost as forgiving as my 210's.

I had the same experience.  Lovely ball flight and just as forgiving as my MMCs.  Would consider if I was in the market for new irons.

I hit the i59 and Blueprint the other day at my local retailer.  The i59 was a bit better with ball speed, peak height, spin, and carry distance.  I then hit my personal T100 (2019 version) and it was on par with the i59.  Nothing in the numbers that would make me want to spend the money for i59's, or Blueprints.   That being said, I think both the i59's and Blueprints are awesome looking clubs 🙂

Thinking of making myself a combo set of 9i-6i blueprints and i59 5i-4i. Makes it cheaper plus the loft/lie specs look pretty much identical between blueprint and i59 so theoretically they should blend well.

I compared the i59 demo to a Blueprint 7i this afternoon.  They are really similar in size, and are going to blend well.
