Really wish they would've added the iBlades to the test. Great video non the less. I'll be honest, besides the looks, its difficult to choose the i59.

Agreed I think 99% of golfers would get better performance out of the i210.

looking at the dispersion for me I would go i59 purely on that.

He says himself he is not a good ball striker.

His 'who the club is for' seems top sum it up nicely to me; nothing negative for the i59 really at all.

Interesting why(not iBlade part)?

the dispersion is based on 5 balls. If you judge dispersion based on 5 balls, I dunno, you gonna switch irons pretty often 😉 (like I do!)

Thomas Campbell is a good player. If you look at his results in competition, I’m going to argue he’s a better player than 95% of folks on Golfwrx (of course 95% here still have e faster swing speed…) and probably 97%

if you just look at the data, I think it’s difficult to go i59 instead of i210. Pretty much the same data with more forgiveness.

i love the look of the i59 and I’ll probably end up playing them at some point but I don’t think there’s anything special with these performance wise.

i210 are elongated heel to toe -ie a smaller footprint G series

Right now - my s56 6i performance is beyond that of the i210 6i - Yes I get the height increase from i210 but the results are speaking for themselves currently.

I'll need to get use to that heel/toe length[again]....its the sole reason I ditched the G25.

If you say that then you cannot compare them off those few shots then?!

oh well.

I have ordered a i59 3 iron and I will try it and see if it replaces my UDI or not. I am looking for a club that goes a certain distance every time not get one that jumps further every so often; hopefully I get that with the i59.

I dunno, look at the shots that he's hitting and the data. The majority of his delivery parameters are very close. Swing path and face-to-path are the the ones that change the most. That to me means, yes, you can judge the data generated by 5 shots but unless you guys are all PGA Tour level players, you dispersion is going to look very different if you hit 5 shots or 50 while you relative spin numbers, launch etc. will likely stay pretty much the same unless you change your delivery every shot in a significant way.

Anyone else got theirs yet? The first set just popped up on the BST and eBay. I guess it’s not mid late October after all..

You could buy a set off the shelves in St Andrews yesterday. I was looking at them thinking only 2 weeks until I get my 3 iron.

If I could get any set of irons back that I've sold over the last 35 years the S56's would be my choice.

We checked yesterday....haven't been invoiced

So mine haven't been built - which is highly disappointing since I was assured 9/24 shipping

Flat out lied is the exact description

A bit much on that ending statement. Lots of things that are out of the control of Pings hands. Their main factory over seas has been shut down because the country is basically closed.

I can assure you all those points were addressed. I was lied too, straight to my face.

Edit: I know the internals as well - never should allowed their reps to quote 9/24 shipping

They have total control over the quotes they give for ship dates

If they haven’t shipped yet, can you cancel the order?

I don't want to cancel- just flabbergasted mid August ship quote was missed- within a month time-frame.....pretty [insert cuss word] impressive.

I work in procurement and made a solid career with it. It’s not us sh/tting the bed all the time. Sales most of the time have a hard time understanding reality and they sell it anyway.

Not sticking up for Ping because I don’t know what’s happening. They could very well had one of their suppliers/relationships jack them big time.

Sell, sell, sell, knowing damn well you can’t deliver…  Apologize later. If indeed that’s what’s going on. Shame on them. Not the kind of business practices I want to support.
I know I would be pissed as well if I was in your position.

Yea whoever you ordered from should have never have quoted that. At best these were gonna be a October release with PING factory problems going on. Plus they are only building i59s at the moment.

I tested i59's on the course today and thought they were great. It was my first time seeing them in person and after reading so much about them, I was surprised they looked so user friendly. Seem like the total package for players irons. I played iBlades for a good stretch and think the i59's look and feel nicer, flight looks stronger. With the right build, they could be pretty special.

I just want mine so I can head South.....its still warm thankfully
