Compromising the integrity of the shaft…sounds like someone had a little too much Turkey.

Ping is doing Arccos as standard on every club now and they’ll continue to do it because they believe data will improve the golfer. Good on them if you ask me.

I’m glad they improved your game. More power to you.

Got my i59 with Tour105s shaft (to Finland). They are beautiful!

Now I have tried these ones in simulator and w-7 was grate from first hit, 6-5 needed couple more.

My old clubs are i210. I feel i210 head is bit heavier, because I´m used to these I could feel club head better. i59 would need some more sessions in simulator/range to get similar feeling.

i59 overall feel is grate. With softer ball (srixon Q-star Tour) feel was very soft. Today I would try these with Bridgestone Tour B RXS.

I was curious to know if anyone who is currently playing these irons has changed golf balls? I have no launch monitor data yet, but my eye tells me that these irons spin more than the ZX7’s I came from. I am a low spin player anyway and I welcome the fact that these appear to spin more especially in the longer irons. I currently game the ProV 1x and wonder if I can move to a lower spin ball? Has anyone made a switch and if so to what ball?

Tour B RXS & i59 will make you sing like Lenny Kravitz, on a horse

Anyone have a comparison of i59 vs T100s?

Not the current t100s but the 2019’s I had twice in chrome and black. The i59 with the lz6.5 does feel like a softer less click of a forging. Almost like the ball just sits on the face a tad bit longer.

I personally found the t100s to feel better and a touch more forgiving. As a big S55/iBlade fan I wanted to love the i59.

Some reason I can't get along with it.

Driver - Callaway Rogue ST ◆◆◆  / Tour AD HD

4wood - Cobra RadSpeed / Tour AD IZ

Hybrid - Callaway Apex / Tour AD DI

Irons - Cobra Forge Tec  /  Dart V 90

Wedges - Cleveland RTX 6  52 / 58

Putter - TM Spider X   Ball - Titleist AVX

Well my 3 iron only that was coming November 15 is now certainly next year with no ETA. Oh well its winter here so not too fussed at all.

Starting to take bets on when it arrives - They have the head(i59 3 iron), they have the grip(Z cord) its actually the Project X shaft(7.0) they don't have. Ping have now started to get their own drivers to head to the Felixstowe port(UK) to get their stuff off ships as the main delay right now is the drivers.

What is the forgiveness of the 5 & 6 irons? That’s my main concern at this point.

I hit them all the way through 4.  I think about as forgiving as my i500 we're, but they all took a good strike...distance loss is minimal as long as you hit it "somewhat decent"...directionally you can get a little much side spin on a poor strike, but the distance still stays consistent.

Thanks, this helped. I ordered a 5 iron in my specs and that will give me a true idea of what I am dealing with. I hit the fitting cart 7 iron head pretty well.

I did a long side by side comparison between the i59 and Mizuno Pro 223 and they were pretty comparable. Mizuno was 4 yards longer but also 2* stronger loft.

I am between the two, will test both beginning of next year. How would you rate them forgiveness wise?

The Mizuno’s are bigger and a little clunky but have that great Mizuno feel. Mishits weren’t too punishing. Maybe 5 yards? Ball speed was good too.

I think PING packed a lot of forgiveness and technology in a small package. I prefer the thinner sole and thinner top line. Ball speed on the i59 was right up there with the Mizuno maybe 2 mph less. Again weaker lofts.

Both feel awesome but each in their own way. On a well struck i59 shot it feels like you just smashed the heck out of it. It’s not firm, it’s not mushy, it’s not that soft forged feel, it’s just different.

It took a really bad swing to see a 10 yard drop off with the i59.

I prefer thinner soles, and if those are similar in terms of forgiveness…. Coming from MP18 MBs / CBs I assume that both should be more forgiving. Cannot wait to test them!

Are Power and Retro spec options simply bending the stock clubhead, creating more or less offset?

Now I have couple simulator sessions with i59(power specs). These are beautiful irons and feels so grate.

With power specs these are similar distance as my i210(standard). We will see real distances when courses opens in spring, but it´s going to be long winter before courses opens in Finland.

Would you mind taking a pic of the 5i at address?  I’m trying to determine if the bending for power spec makes the offset noticeable.

About how much additional distance are you seeing with power spec vs normal spec on the launch monitor? Are you also getting enough spin and height with power spec?

I´m not looking to gain distance. I´m lookin to get distance what I want/need.

Standard vs Pwr difference is 2 degree --> 1/2 club --> 5 meter. My iron difference is about 10 meter.

I don´t trust launch monitor numbers that much vs out in course. Launch monitor is about half/one club longer than in course.

Outside my i210 5 iron is 170-175meter and that is where I want i59 to be (175m, +/- 5meter).

Spin and distance are quite similar with i210 vs i59 pwr. i59 pwr is 1 degree stronger than i210.
