Finally got these in my hands. I couldn’t believe how small they looked at address for me. Felt like a dramatic change from previous “I” models.

Well the name does combine both - i series & s series

i series forgiveness in an s series body size

Never thought of it like that. Makes complete sense now. I felt like they were marketing it as the new “i.” I knew it wouldn’t fit me when my local fitting pro said “I can’t game them.” I thought the blueprints looked easier to hit.

I have power spec as well, to match my gaps from i500.  They are all flying the same, a bit lower and more spin.   Allowed me to get more "great shots" but I do notice a bit less forgiveness on mishits, and obviously with more spin if I get offline on the strike they fade or draw more.

Hit some bombs with these.... beware of humble brag upcoming....170yd, 1.5 club uphill, out of a waste bunker into the wind...flew a 5i right over the flag.  Flew exactly the distance expected, 190y.  Loving them, still tweaking lies and such but so close.   Distance control and feel of S55, distance forgiveness of the I series, no doubt.

Just messured groove lenght (2nd from bottom) of 5i on i210 and i59 —) same lenght.
overall blade lenght is bit shorter in i59.
i59 is shallower blade and thinner. For me that makes it visualy smaller.

Switched from Blueprints to i59s.  I like the extra forgiveness.

Thanks, this helped. I ordered a 5 iron in my specs and that will give me a true idea of what I am dealing with. I hit the fitting cart 7 iron head pretty well.

I did a long side by side comparison between the i59 and Mizuno Pro 223 and they were pretty comparable. Mizuno was 4 yards longer but also 2* stronger loft.

FYI: I ordered on the 23rd which means it didn’t get entered until the 27th and got confirmation that the 5 iron shipped today. Take into consideration Xmas and New Year's and that is a pretty fast build. Shipping on the other hand is 5 days so I will get it next Monday.

I'm gonna go ahead & say it

These are the best, most consistent short irons I've ever played. So easy to flight & control

Now,  if the damn Rona - will leave my vaccinated family alone......I'll be much happier

Does anyone have a time table for delivery on orders now being place.  Looking to order a set of 59's next week with Modus 105 shafts.  Thanks

My i59 with Modus 105 stiff was about 8 weeks in Europe. Positive was that clubs did arrive 2-3 weeks earlier than what was original delayed delivery date.

If you want these clubs, ask Ping rep. if they have information about situation of shafts (my delay was shafts) or place order as early as possible to get these before summer.

Anyone compared the i59 to the PXG Gen 4 T? Seems like the comparable iron from PXG. I recently picked up the Gen 4 X driving iron and the thing is sweet. Has a softer feel than my i200s. If I was going to upgrade irons, I would definitely want to test the Gen 4 X against the i59.

Driver - Paradym, 10.5 (or TM Mini BRNR 11.5)

3W, 5W- Titleist 913F

4i-PW - TM P7MB

Wedges - Vokey SM9 (52, 56, 60) all M grinds

Putter - PLD Anser

Ball - ProV1

Probably got 10 rounds on them...I mostly wall.  Faces are showing where I hit the ball most often, the rest of the clubs look great, only marks are from some lie adjustments.

I never saw an issue with the i500 hydropearl, but some didn't like it. Still have those too, still look great.

Question to anyone who has re shafted the i59's. I notice they show a copper weight or sleeve in the hosel of these....Wondering if this comes into play and if it becomes an issue when doing re shaft.

Zero issue
