I agree with pingplayer above. I always come back to Ping. Right now, I can’t find a better driver than the 410. The standard 410 3 wood beat out the Sim. I play and old G hybrid that nothing can beat and the Glide 3.0s are the best wedges around for me as well. In irons I am stuck between 210s and Mizuno. Part of me wants to have a brand agnostic bag but there aren’t many areas that I can find a better product for my game than Ping. It’s funny that Ping made its name with a putter but that’s their worst lineup by far.

As most have expressed what they want to see out of an i59, here’s what I’m hoping for:

 

1. like most, a little bit more refining on the sole. I loved that they tried to give some trailing edge relief but just wasn’t quite there on 210 and maybe that’s resolved by my second point. 
 

2. I think 8-p was really good on the i210. They played essentially like an iblade and had a similar footprint (at least from the top). Maybe this set really emphasizes that it’s a progressive set a bit more by basically making the short irons like the iblade/s series with narrower soles, etc. 

 

3. 4-7 on the i210 play wonderfully but I understand why certain players can’t quite get there on looks. If the footprint could shrink a tad, less offset, etc while maintaining i210 forgiveness that would be incredible.  Maybe there are other visuals Ping can add to just make them look a little cleaner. 
 

To summarize, yes, basically I’m advocating for them to blend iblade and i210. Basically iblade 7/8-p and something that maintains forgiveness but looks a bit better than i210 3-7. Of course, easier said than done, but if that is possible I think players would be really happy. Alternatively, if they’re making iblade and 210 replacements separately, a similar design promoting similar feel and looks would be nice so players can make their own combo. 
 

as far as how they’re built, I trust ping completely on this one. I’ve heard they’re thinking of getting rid of the back weights and want to go more toward the tungsten screw in the toe like blueprint. Again, no preference here. Just curious on how ping is moving forward. 
 

I also know Ping’s summer releases usually show up around the Open. In this case, a 2020 masters reveal would be nasty.

Definitely interesting! Looks more like a blueprint replacement to me than anything. I didn't think that was on the table/schedule this year. Some of the other models in the i line are a lot older and in need of an update more but if it is truly a blueprint replacement i'll game it! Shoot, i'll probably game it either way haha!

EDIT: Sorry guys, im the stupid one. I have never noticed that the i200/210 and i500 only have the "PING"brand name on the hosel (and I even play the i200)😶

I was thinking Blueprint at first but ping isn't quick to replace their irons so that's why I was thinking i500.

Yeah, more than likely mine. I am still looking for that elusive iron that can stop my early extension and lack of divot.

It's an i series iron how would it replace the blueprint? Bottom won't be hollow, just a screw for swing weighting ala Blueprint or Apex MB.

Kind of confused.  Isn't this supposed to replace the iBlade?  If so, why go from a cast iron with extremely soft feel with a forged head?  The manufacturing costs much be higher, and it will be interesting to see how it plays into the fitting system of Ping.  I like the durability of the iBlade since it was cast.  Forged end up getting a lot of scar tissue when you find that hidden rock/root in the rough or sometimes in the fairway, especially out here in the desert of the Southwest.

Absolutely cannot wait to try these sticks!  Flat out, the S-series of clubs Ping Produced were some of my favorite non-forged clubs.  They were just so consistent, held up well and performed under every condition.  The S58's I played for a while were some of my favorite irons I've played.  This MIGHT just end up making it in the bag days after their release.

The Blueprint is just over a year old and its not gonna be replaced soon, this is the iBlade replacements. i525 will be the i500 replacement from looking at recent trademarking from PING.

You'd logically have to believe that this would be the iBlade replacement simply because that iron is long in the tooth to say the least.  Funny, though, because that still is one of the nicest clubs they produced in the player category.  If they can replicate that success with this offering it's no-brainer to game it!  Especially for me considering I was leaning quite heavily towards going that route at the end of last season.

well let me know when that happens.  I'm still trying to talk myself into new Pings and replacing my i25's that I hit great and have no problems with with i210s
