Just picking up a combo set the other day of 7-PW 620 mb, 5,6 t100 and 4 u500 c-taper 120s. Am I the only one who finds the MB’s more forgiving and longer than other brands “player iron” mp20/MMC, apex pro, 760 etc. don’t even get me started about how great the T100s are. Just wanna hear some of your feedback of if I’ve just found the best irons suited for me.

I feel its a standard blade. So no, i would not say its forgiving. I also didnt find it any longer than normal.

I had the opposite experience. I went with MP-20s, which were consistently longer (fractionally) and easier for me to find middle. There is no tech in the 620s whatsoever so if you're getting good results you must just be hitting them pure, which is great.

Actually, the one unique feature they have is that pre-worn leading edge (loving that in my U500s), so maybe that's helping.

Ive been testing the 620MBs and the TM730 and TM P7-TW, I find the 620MBs to be the easiest and most forgiving of the 3 and also the longest. For a 7i @35*, it is very long. The P7-TW feels a bit better but is less forgiving to me. On my best hits between the 2 irons at the same loft, the 620MB will be about 5 yards longer and the 730 will be 3 yard longer than the TW. My shaft makeup is all over the place, but the 620MB with PX 6.0 were surprisingly good and may kick out my P7TW. The other irons I play are the Ping Blueprints which are just as long as the Titleist 620Mb and more forgiving in terms of where it is hit on the face but less forgiving because the head is smaller....yeah that statement might not make much sense, but if you own both, u know exactly what I mean.

Agree... The TM730 produce some of the slowest ball speeds.... However I dont find the 620's any more forgiving than the TW's. It could be the shaft and or the sole fit your swing really well. The Blueprints would be perfect if they had just a bit longer blade length..... I still for some reason hit them well.

I don’t know if I find them any more forgiving than other blades, they are blades after all. However they are by far the easiest to elevate and hit well (to me). Not sure what it is this year, but the 620MB just look so friendly behind the ball, especially in the long irons. Typically, the 3 and 4 irons in blades can start to look intimidating to me as it looks like these clubs just have no loft on them. However, with the 620MB, the 3-iron looks as easy to hit as the 7-iron. Again, just personal opinion, but I think the 620MB are by far the easiest to hit blades currently available.

And the brushed light satin finish is a huge plus too!

MP20's were significantly more forgiving and further for me than the 620MB's. I liked the 620's more than the Blueprints and P7TWs

I have the 620mb’s and would not characterize them as particularly forgiving or long. I played 690mb’s for years and switched to the Callaway Apex Pro 19’s last year. I picked up 15 yards on every iron switching to the Callaways but struggled with distance control overall. Now with the 620mb’s I lost all 15 of those yards but when I hit it where I want to on the face it goes the same distance every time +/- 2 yards.

Should I be playing these irons, probably not but I grew up playing Titleist blades. I prefer the look and feel of blades and I find the distance and flight control of blades to be unmatched on quality strikes.

Play what makes you happy but I wouldn’t buy a blade looking for forgiveness and distance

I’ve played most iterations of the titleist muscle back offerings; going back as far as the 681’s. I recently went to the t100’s and after hitting the 620 MB’s today I realized why I played blades to begin with. These irons are so easy to elevate and work both directions. I wouldn’t say they feel super soft but when struck well they feel great. Amazingly I didn’t lose any distance coming from the t100, maybe other than the 4 iron; but I hit the t100 4 iron much farther than any other one I’ve ever hit. I think part of the reason for my epiphany is that with blades/MB’s I focus more on center strikes and with cavity back irons I know I can get away with a toe wipe here and there.

Nope. Nobody plays blades because they are more forgiving and fly further. I play blades because they look nice, and I still hit irons a club futher than most my buddies who game more forgiving irons. I'm not any better because I game them. I just like the looks. Whatever floats your boat. Also when I game larger GI clubs I tend to swing slower thinking a smoother swing yields more consistent results.
