I called them and they sent me this email regarding the return policy:

Hope it isn't the case, but I'm getting some Ernest Sports (ES16 and ES 2020) vibes from this release and how FSG is going about it.

This whole simulating a golf ball's flight isn't easy, and Ernest Sports proved that with 2 releases.... so I'd definitely be sitting on the sidelines on this one until FSG demonstrates an accurate working unit (or 100).

wish that FSK had sent the units out to independent reviewers.  Every time I called them I got evasive answers and it never inspired confidence given the delays in the unit.  Ended up ordering the Mevo + today but would reconsider if the FSK is as good as they claim.

I agree, there isn't much info at all out there. This group I came across by far had the most info. Rumor was they sent it to the top 15 players in the world and a few independent reviewers. One is Harry Brandt. He has a group on Facebook and did a short review. He said he planned to dive in deeper when he had more time. A link to his group is below.

Full Swing has been producing some of the best simulators on the market, they know how to simulate a golf ball for sure. This is just their first launch monitor + simulator. I would trust them over ES for sure.

Yeah, this is my thought. It's not like FS is new to the space. I used to go to an indoor range in LA that had a whole FS setup and it was pretty awesome.

I installed the iPhone app last night just to check it out and it's a solid piece of software - and being an iOS developer myself, I'm generally pretty critical especially in the space of hardware + software integrations where the software almost always feels like an afterthought hacked together with some trash like ReactNative.

I hope this thing delivers!

I ordered it, mainly because one of my daughters is left handed and having it behind you is the big sell point for me. I have enough room in my shop/garage for this so will spend this winter preparing the hitting area. Will test it really hard when it arrives.

Noticed that when I go to the Full Swing website and "Add to Cart", it shows "available on backorder".

Has anyone actually received their Kit unit and tried it?

FYI, Looks like the Kit is now available again after "Add to Cart".

Same question as above: Has anyone actually received their Kit unit and tried it?

A guy on a FB group I'm in specifically for the Kit got his last week and has been giving his feedback; all of which sounds pretty great so far.

That said, I got an email from Full Swing this morning saying mine ships next week.

Actually, just checked it and a couple other guys have gotten theirs. All feedback's been positive; particularly about how easy it is to setup and how well the software works. Folks seem to think the numbers are pretty accurate. One guy noted he took it to a facility with Trackman and the numbers from FSK were comparable.

Looking through the patent on this it looks like they're claiming to have a way to measure spin axis directly via radar by examining the harmonic contents of the reflected signal with multiple receiver array groups in different orientations. The positioning of the grouping seems to have been determined by some kind of machine learning algorithm but the patent doesn't go into a ton of detail. If their method actually works, they may have a significant advantage over other radar units indoors...if it actually works.

FlightScope also uses an array of receivers to determine spin axis, but I haven't looked at the Full Swing patent to compare their overall methods.

I've been using mine indoors for the last week. I don't have another launch monitor to compare it to but I've been really impressed with it so far. The club metrics and data all seem accurate. The only thing I am skeptical of at this point is carry/distance seems a little low indoors but I'm hoping when indoor mode actually comes out this will be updated. I did get some weird readings one night but that was when I forgot to check the box that I was hitting into a net and not just hitting outdoors. I emailed Fullswing to get some more info about indoor mode and if this would work with the new Titleist RCT balls.  I got the generic "Indoor mode is coming soon." I do have some RCT balls on order so I'm going to give those a try and see if they make a difference. I know it has been a frustrating rollout. Mine actually showed up the day I got the tracking email and just happened to be home that day so I could sign for it but it really is worth the wait.

how's the app and integration with the iPad/iphone?  Does it allow you to take videos from 2 angles, ie connect with an iPad and iPhone simulataneously to get front and side videos??

The app is the best part. No crashes, everything works great. No subscriptions and works right out of the box unless you want to pay 99 bucks a year for the unlimited storage. You have access to all the data you want. You can have it read the numbers off so you don't have to always look at your screen. I only have an Iphone at this point so I haven't been able to try any of the side by side comparisons unfortunately.

👍 Give us an update once you get it. I’m curious about the claim earlier in this thread they have figured out gear effect indoors. That would separate it from other radar units and for $4k should sell very well.

Will do, guys. Probably won't be able to get it to the range till next weekend as I've got a crazy busy work week coming up (stupid time change and short daylight) but I'll try to sneak out one morning after it arrives if I can.

I got mine out yesterday and it was nails. The app was smooth and the pairing process was excellent. 195 balls hit and I had 1 blatant misread. We lasered some targets and hit some 90/120/150 shots and all the numbers lined up great. Draws and fades produced numbers on the monitor you would expect with club and ball data you'd expect.

Club & ball speeds, carry, launch were in-line with trackman I have used in the past with faster read outs.

The app is awesome and I cannot wait for the updates to come with added features and analysis tools.

Great to hear! That one youtube "review" had me a bit worried.
