Only nba and college for the last 5-6 years. They are ruining the game with 6ft 10 shooting guards who basically have a dunk contest every night

 

in it’s purest form it’s the best test of an athlete I can think of. Outside of endurance runners. Way more cardio than football or baseball. Soccer is in same cAtagory. Basketball played properly is a very rough sport. Big men inside earn every inch of position. I happen to love it as far as playing. Easily the most fun I’ve ever had in any sport.

Basketball - funnest to play from a pure athletic competition and pace. Extreme level of athletic ability to compete.

Golf - Best individual challenge. mechanics can overcome physical attributes (have to meet a minimum level of physical attributes to compete)

Baseball - At a high level, college and above. The best combination of team sport and individual challenge. Mechanics can overcome physical attributes (also carries the caveat of a minimum level of physical attributes to compete at said level)

Basketball was always my favorite from a pure enjoyment standpoint. Baseball got appreciated much more once you get into college and start actually playing the game with your head more and are surrounded with other competent players. Golf fulfills the "chess game" and competition that you miss when you can no longer play the others at a competitive level. Specially for an old baseball player. A lot of the mechanical nature of bat/ball and club/ball are similar, just on a different plane. For me, golf in place of baseball, is like trading nichorete gum for cigarettes. Still get my fix with a little less trauma to my body.

legendary course that cant be bullied. the back nine was brutally tough today. Really requires strategic aggression. Some of the pins were untouchable. Great stuff so far
