My only complaint is they dont say it but yeah i feel like they are trying to get you to switch out every year and why can they just say one year no changes this year just different color and i dont know weight forward? Lol its like does everytime hsvr to be about how a scientist made this new club from moon dust so it floats farther lol. Maybr i just pay too much attention to new releases. I like the car analogy though you wouldnt upgrade to every years new version just because they upgraded the sunroof.

I agree with your equipment choice and assessment, @Hat Trick
Since I took up the game I've spent the most time with Titleist equipment. Not sure how much their 2yr cycle plays into my thinking though. I just like how Titleist does business and tackles the market. It brings indirect equipment value too. And their high-end products like my 620 irons are still reasonably priced. I bought 2016 SM6 wedges when they were introduced and still play them, grooves are fine and play 3 times per week. Maybe where I am different from others is it's my responsibility to determine if what's "new" is really technologically improved or just cosmetic. I do like the SM8 look but SM6 still spin da ball.. hit'em well.

I laugh when I read on forums about guys complaining they just bought a “new” whatever club from a brand and they release something a few months later like their club no longer works or is a bad fit for them.

i think golfers suffer from fomo and always in that search of the holy grail club.

... that I went out and found some minty SM4's for next to nothing on eBay. Got that pesky CG back where it's supposed to be. No wonder I've been struggling with those SM6 and SM7's. Not sure that is what Titleist had in mind with this marketing campaign.

Yeah they took away some grinds for specific lofts. I've played a 54 M grind for a while now (I think since the SM4) and they don't offer that anymore. That's frustrating.

I guess I'm unique? I'd almost rather have something that is harder to square. If anything I'm going to hook that short club. Hard enough to hit a fade as it is.

Never made a lot of sense why no finish = more expensive, but as long as they keep making an easily removable jet black, I won't complain too much
