u500 - Which Flex for HZRDUS Smoke Black 90?

Thinking about replacing my trusty 712u 3-iron with a u500. The stock HZRDUS Smoke Black 90 shaft should work well for me, but I'm on the fence as to which flex I go with. It seems pretty stout, so maybe 6.0 is enough?. For reference:

Driver SS ~110, fit into Kuro Kage XT 60X

Irons fit into KBS Tour 120S

My current 712U has a AD Utility 95X.

So... 6.0 or 6.5?

I have the 3 and 4 iron in the U-500 with that shaft. I swing the 4 iron about 93 mph and the 3 iron about 95 mph (on my better swings). The 6.0 still feels pretty stout at those speeds. It could handle more for sure. I would only go 6.5 if you are very aggressive in transition. Even then the 6.0 is probably fine.

I'm playing the 2i with the 6.5, and it feels great to me. For reference, I was swinging it during my fitting between 97-100 mph. It's my fav club at the moment.

Just an FYI but the Atmos Tour Spec Black 9 is a great free no upcharge shaft.

Got a 510 with the Atmos TS Black 9x and love the thing. So much more confident than my hybrid standing over it.

I don’t know what the 2 iron shafts are like but I strongly encourage you to hit the smoke before you buy it. I purchased an f9 with smoke stiff and for some reason the shaft and I just cannot get along at all. No doubt it says more about me that the shaft, but I’m now shopping around for another shaft and spending more money I don’t want to!

OP here... ended up ordering a u500 3 iron with a HZRDUS Smoke Black 90 6.0. Took some swings with one off the rack in store and it felt right to me.
