Tour players, who I guarantee swing harder than you, have worn them on the course without issue. I think you'd be fine, unless you're completely flailing at the ball.

I don't think I have seen a single pair of 270s on tour? Who have you seen wearing them?

Even by spikeless standards the pattern doesn't look that grippy. That being said I have played these in both cold and wet and been fine.

Most PGA guys are using spikes. Yes there are those who wear Footjoy SL and similar shoes but I believe a majority are using spikes.

No matter the argument or stance taken, a "spikeless shoe" or any golf shoe with flat, plastic-imitation spikes will never compete with a spiked shoe or metal spikes from the good old days for arguments sake. In any wet condition, you need shoes with a lot, and I mean a lot of grip. If you swing over 110 mph, I do not care how stable you are and how you rotate, you will lose your footing if you are properly transfering weight and loading. I cannot tell you how many times I have slipped in Under Armour Tempo Tour Hybrid, Nike Spikeless, etc... when swinging hard in even mildly damp conditions.

A few years back Rory was close to tied at the top of the leaderboard at the Travelers (2017) and was on the 18th and had a nasty slip where he almost chunked the ball hardly 100 yards from like 150. I remember him looking at his shoes just being super mad and in awe of how he could be wearing spikeless. I believe it was these ones:

NIKE Lunar Control Vapor Golf Shoes Review - The Golf Guide

I wish I could find the video but it seems as thought Nike must have paid some good money to have it taken down 😉 .

https://www.pgatour.com/competition/2017/travelers-championship/leaderboard.html

You can see the round 2 chunk on the 18th due to the slip on the shot tracer if you toggle Rory's scorecard.

If anyone finds the vid, lmk!

You have no idea what you're talking about regarding the AIT soles. First off, those aren't spikeless. The soles are not traditional soft spikes, but they're spikes. They're the most locked down shoes in wet conditions Nike has ever made. I still wear mine specifically in wet conditions for the traction. Zero slippage!

I hit a shot out of the mud in my 270’s and they are terrible! They basically caked up on the bottom and got really slick and heavy. I would only wear them in really dry conditions, which is normal here in Texas lol

If you are saying that the shoes in my post "Lunar Control Vapor Lunarlon or Lunarlon 2" are the best for traction you have 1) never worn a truly good spiked shoe, 2) never played in truly wet conditions, 3) never seen the video of Rory literally losing all traction in those like I mentioned above. Unless I am totally misreading and misunderstanding your post, my point stands, Spikes: PrideSports, Champ, Golfkicks, adidas, sansheng, Soft Spikes, PIXNOR. > no spikes or attached spikes to the bottom of the shoe every day. The only shoe that  I have ever tried where I can agree with you that doesn't really need an attachable/removable spike is the GFORE (cap toe, gallivanter, etc) Those are really good and truly provide consistent traction. If those Nike shoes from my post are your winners, send me a pair and I'll do a cross comparison 😉

The lunar control vapor are probably the best traction on a golf

shoe I’ve had. I play in England and know all about bad weather. Genuinely nothing beats them.

I had the same issue with the ZIT because the mud just cakes in the large spikes. Additionally I grew an inch while walking because of the mid build up.

Explain Rory's massive slip in hardly damp conditions where he literally came out post-round to criticize the shoes (circa 2017 travelers) I do not doubt your claim that she shoes are good because Nike makes quality products most of the time but to say they are the best, better than traditional spikes, is outrageous!

Sooo... your assumption over one shot you saw on TV over numerous personal experiences?

I would take them over my hard spike shoes any day of the week.

I am using my own experiences along with a well known one since people always care about what the pros do. I'd love to give them a try again but cannot see how horizontal plastic strands beats deliberate spikes...

Finau wears Janoskis and is fine. If he can wear those and be stable/locked in, all the previously mentioned cleats are more than adequate.

These are fire but the ZIT needs a re-design. The sole is too thin, I had to sell mine as I sometimes felt like I was wearing ice skates. If they added a wider sole/base they would be such a great shoe.

Yea, they seem to be hit and miss for a lot of people. I wore them all summer and never had any problems luckily.
