I think you're missing an important point here. Of course BK had things to say when he was coming up. Just like everyone else on their way up. The media doesn't report to people on their way up. How would you have heard what BK had to say when he was on his way up? BK might never win another tournament. Golf can be cruel that way.

I liked Brooks a lot better when he kept his mouth shut and won golf tournaments. He was stoic, a competitor. Now, to me, he's annoying and arrogant.

lol. I guess I can see that now that I re-read it. I truly just meant that I didn’t want to discuss those ins and outs publicly and get into a time out or suspended situation. But would discuss it privately.

was a bad day yesterday. Had to dig a 104 ft tench for a new service line ( electrical ) to my shop. 38 ft by hand because of water lines etc. I’m not exactly recovered yet today. But my conversation is a bit better since powers back on. Lol.

I certainly don't have as strong an opinion on Brooks as people in this thread, but I agree that his 'I don't practice, golf is for nerds' stereotype is bad for the game. I don't root against him, but I hope he changes his ways.

As someone who went to UF, it's funny because Brooks absolutely personifies the stereotype of an FSU graduate (his alma mater) in my mind. Studying isn't cool, numbers are for nerds, would rather workout, I'm the best and nobody else is close regardless of what the facts are. I'm sure FSU grads have similarly flattering opinions of people who went to UF . Watch out Billy Horschel!

I prefer the top golfers be the type who love the game. Who seem to have some sort of discernable IQ. Who appreciate what they have been given, and strive to promote their sport.

Jones, Hagen ,Hogan, Palmer, Nicklaus, Player, Snead, etc.

His actual personality is pathetic. I think he'll figure out a way to make 4 majors wins less valuable than 10 regular PGA tour event wins. What a dud from a marketing perspective.
