How old are your driver, fairway woods and hybrids? Latest not always the best.

Well for me, when my swing got better and hitting he sweet spot more with predictable accuracy it is more about feel and looks for me. I prefer older woods and drivers because of their feel and obviously price so my VSteels and 905R are in my bag for that reason.

My HDCP has ranged between 3 and 5 for many years. I doubt new clubs would make too much, if any, difference.

I was recently fit for a new set of Ping I210's but decided to stick with what works for me

Ping G30 driver, callaway optiforce 3 wood, pair of rocketballz tour hybrids in 2 and 4 lofts. I haven't bothered testing new drivers since the G30. I do not thibk I am leaving anything on the table; only gains I am making is putting significant time in the gym.

Still playing Titleist 917D2 and 913F from 2013. Am looking at the 917F2/F3, as they can be had for a song, now that the TS series is out, but not sure if I'll take the plunge.

Up through the end of 2019 I was gaming a Cobra Baffler Pro from 2008. Tried for years to upgrade it, but nothing could kick it out of the bag. 240+ off the tee, and very underrated from different lies. It was my go-to out of fairway bunkers, crap lies, you name it. Then I found myself in GG over the holidays and hit the 818 H2. The Tensei Pro White shaft in the 818 is significantly better than the Fuji Speeder in the Cobra, which is what prompted the switch.

Newer is not necessarily better, and finding clubs that work for your swing and where you develop comfort and consistency is hard to replicate. I get the desire to try new things, and I love hitting whatever irons Mizuno has come out with when I'm at GG or Dicks, but in the end I tend to stick with what works.

Guess it's all relative but anything less than 5 years old is new to me. I play Ping G LST and G 3 wood and 917F 5 wood and they are "new" clubs to me. Although the 5 wood is on probation and it's not looking good.

Was using 2017 M2 until I found a good deal on a G400 Max this week...also swapped out Exotics XCG7 3 wood for g400 3 wood. Still playing a Ping Rapture v2 17* hybrid and don't ever see anything knocking it out of the bag for me.

I really just don’t feel like trying anything new when it comes to the woods and hybrids. Probably because I don’t like the adjustable hosels and also because the driver can just become a constant search. I have been using all older TM TPs for years:

R5 TP 10.5*

Rescue Dual TPs - 19* and 22*

Was using an R7 TP 15* until I started massively snap hooking everything with it last year. Switched to a SLDR mini TP 16 and kind of like that setup better.

My 915fd's are 4 years old this month. My driver is about 6 months old. My irons are 6 years old. Irons will be changing soon. My fairway woods, probably never.

Used to love new clubs. Now more interested in getting my swing better instead. Nobody cares about your new driver if you are slicing it off the planet every other hole.

Still got the 917D/F3 and 818H2 and have no plans to change. I tried some of the TS line but didn't see any real improvement - in fact the TS3 Fairway Wood was about 10 yards short of my F3!

 

Focusing on swinging them properly now rather than upgrading, although I would love a crack with a TS4. £400 is quite an almighty cost to change however.

No joke when playing vintage 1957 Macgregor Velocitized persimmon driver and 4 wood

Sorta more modern---- Honma G1-X driver that is the model before the 727 that the Op is gaming

FW--- Adams Super S 16*--- How long has it been since Adams went out? I have had this FW and the 19* that matches it for 4 years now

Hybrid--- Adams Boxer 19* one ugly funky club but it hits good--- Do not know how old it is

Hybrid ---- Adams A-12 OS-- 22* I have had a couple of years now but it was old when I found it

Main back up driver Titleist 915 D-2

I am also a big V-Steel fan have every one from a 3 wood to a 9 wood set up with various shafts that I have tuned for each one

Right now, I'm carrying two drivers -- a 47" Adams 9015D and a 44" SMT AF460c. Fairway is a Tour Edge E8 at 16.5 degrees. Hybrid is a Knuth High Heat at 19 degrees.

Yeah. Well as my swing got better and my scores got lower I was thinking of playing some local tournaments and needed a bag that is fully compliant with the 2010 groove rule. I had to get my wedges to be 2010 compliant and got a good deal on getting a 3 wedge set of the ATVs for $80 CDN. Feel is surprisingly pretty darn good and with good technique, one can play with any wedge so the ATV sole is nice to have.

I still use a 906F2 FW and when i swap the 2iron for a hybrid its a Nickent. I tend to balloon the newer model FW woods, Honestly the only two FW woods i have used in the last say 20 years are a Mizuno MP001 15* and The 906f2 titleist. they just work best for me.
