Specs show the 921 Tour has a Gap wedge, definately has my attention!

Nice stock shaft offerings too, $-taper in the Tours and Modus 120 in the Forged.

It would seem they finally had to move off the $150 price point, looks like 162.50 for tour, 175 for forged.

Looks like HMP and Forged will each have the same offset (compared to the 919s where the forged had more offset). Lifts have been jacked up one degree as well.

From that pic on TGW, it looks like the hosel transition is very much improved. I think Mizuno might have a complete winner with this entire line up. I took 2 years away from Mizuno because it was all I played and wanted to try different forgings. This might bring me back and I never played JPX. Been a pretty hardcore mp guy since high school. They definitely have my attention.

Also, from reading the set makeup on TGW it seems like the 1,299 price tags consist of 4-gw. KBS $ taper being the stock shaft with GP Z cord grips. They have added more mass in the cavity for improved feel as well. Really can’t wait to hit these.

Wow I like the direction they are going with the 921 Forged. The short irons are going to be nearly identical to the Tours.

Couldn't agree more. I'm kicking myself for not getting the 919's due to this alone! Hopefully I'll prefer to look at address more with the 921s; or at least convince myself that I do!

Love the 921 but a little frustrating they keeping adding length to "standard". 38" 6 iron is +.50" from 919T, which is up +.25" from 900T. Is anyone ordering short of standard to match playing lengths of previous irons? Ideally I keep my irons the same length but its going to be hard on SW going -0.5" when I've historically been +0.25" over standard.

Had 4-5 Forged combo with 919 Tours. Definitely an upgrade in terms of looks from address for the forged. 919 Tours look better imo. If they improve the sole and turf interaction for the forged these will be quite popular. Only issue for them are that T100s and TM p770 are going to be hard to compete with. Really like what I see with the forged though they look great.

Correct, based on the specs we're seeing (+.50" to +.75" depending on club). Following the trend of adding length and strengthening lofts. I can understand the loft strengthening with higher launching heads, but continually adding this much length to "standard" makes it harder to spec out my next set.

921 Tour 6i length: 38"

919 Tour 6i length: 37.5"

900 Tour 6i length: 37.25"

Curious if people are ordering short of standard or going with this new standard. I would imagine it would be hard-pressed to find anyone that is "over length" anymore from standard. Hoping a fitter can chime in here.

I already ordered the 919 1/4 short in 5-9, would be concerned if I have to go 3/4 short in these to get back to 900F length

The length is either a typo on the front page or I'm guessing they have adjusted stock lengths based on what their custom orders looked like. I know a few years ago PING said they received lots of orders for +1/4" length so they just decided to change the stock length.

Well, pulling the trigger on the SEL set. Been lusting for the tours since the 900s. Was initially hesitant given the set didnt offer a tour 5 iron, but the new forged set looks like it blends nicely. Nice of mizuno to throw the lefties a bone.

Am I reading the specs on Forged right that the stock shafts are different depending on flex? If you order regular flex you get Modus 105, if you order stiff you get Modus 120? Kind of interesting as I don't recall seeing a manufacturer do that before....usually they just offer the same shaft in a different flex.

It’s just the stock offering, you can get anything they offer for any of the 4 models

Wasn't a fan of the design at first but after seeing them from the different angles in this pic its growing on me. I definitely like the black paint fill on the numbers better than the white.

The tours are beautiful. Might lose sleep over this line from the WRX article:

"This is where Mizuno’s Stability Frame design allows the 921 Tour to offer greater forgiveness (higher MOI) than the MP-20 MMC without the multi-material construction"

...and there's a gap wedge.

Yeah I love that they added a gap wedge to the Tours. Would match right up with a 56-60 after that. I'm guessing Mizuno has new wedges coming as well?

The forged look so good at address! I am going to get a full set. No reason to blend in tours for me. I play G-5 in the 900s so no need to rework my bag if I get the forged. Scoring irons look amazing as well!

Project LZ Black as the stock shaft in the HMPs? I'm swooning.

I just got the HMPs last year and really don't need the new ones, but damn they look good, especially with that shaft as a no-upcharge.
