Ordered through my custom builder with 921 F 4-PW with the PX LZ Blackout 5.5, and will have custom ferrules and grips.  I ordered my 919F/T combos with 6.0's and then change them out to Nippon super peening orange which have been amazing! If I don't like the Blackouts, I will go with the SPO again or even a Modus 130S perhaps.  I just cant wait to get them and play them. Man

Is mizuno building the clubs or is your fitter doing it? Didn't know you could order custom ferrules direct from Mizuno but if it is that would be awesome.

Thanks and custom club builder places the order and they come from Mizuno with the spec and then he pulls them apart to my fitted specs and swing weights/lofts/lengths and then I pick the custom ferrules and grips and he builds them for me. He has done my last two iron sets, a Mizuno ST190 Speeder TR driver, Sim Max Accra TZ6 driver and two of my favorite clubs ever owned, a pair of Mizuno CLK Hybrids with the special order parallel .370 tip steel Modus 130S Tour, to allow for the quick fit adjustment sleeve to be utilized.

Only seen photos from my fitter of 6 or 7iron and got to look at the Mizuno fitter catalog. Good news is my club fitter is a Mizuno staff member, so the race is definitely on brother. Going to be good! Here are the ferrules and grips going on the blackouts...should be a nice fresh update to look at till the MP22’s come out lol

That will look awesome, had white ferrules with black rings and white pure pro on that 919 set I had with blackout.

i am just going stock this time with the black and white Lamkin crossline.

Yeah, May not win that race, order in for a week now, but not sure that matters .  I have always received mine pretty fast, would be happy to have close to release date.

i am back off to Palm Desert in October, get to play the 900F with Modus 125, always enjoy seeing those again

Yeah for all of us I hope Mizuno has a plentiful skilled employment schedule ready for fulfillment of all these 921’s since the 919’s being sold out.

I bet those 919’s looked amazing kind of my inspiration with this build. I think black outs with stock black Mizzy ferrules will look sick maybe go “murdered” with the black lamkin crosslines?

love playing in Palm Springs, Desert, Indio, and the surrounding area. We do that trip each year as well. Only about a 4-5hr drive from here. Enjoy that my brotha! The 900F and 921F seem more design related than the 919’s IMO. I loved my 900F as well. How are those Modus 125’s? Never had those and see them as a paid for upgrade on the Mizzy latest offerings.

Had a fitting scheduled for today and fitter emailed that tour and forged heads were not delivered as expected.  He did have the Hot Metal heads, however.  He is going to text me as soon as they arrive.  I assume since HM range is cast in China and forged range is forged in Japan they ship from different places to the fitters.

Had a chance to handle all the new heads today, and they are nice for sure. Even the ES21 wedges are going to be a hot seller. Wasn't able to hit any of them, but I could definitely see a bump in performance from the 921F compared to the MP20 HMB (my current set). With the new 4120 Chromoly that has allowed for a thinner face along with the perimeter weighting, they could be crazy forgiving - in the 4-7, that is (from #8 down, they are 1025E). My HMB's are currently bent 1° strong (same specs as the 921F), and I'll look forward to actually comparing the numbers soon.

Also, the Mizuno USA site is finally on par with the European site, and a nice new feature are the comparison graphs. Here's the 921F and HMB, which in person have a very similar head size.

Very disappointed with the reduction in available shafts.  I would hate to go back to steel, my wrists would really be angry.  Gonna do the new shaft optimizer and see what it spits out.

All this talk of chromoly has me wondering how it will effect feel. By all accounts it is an extremely hard metal and thus difficult to work with. How is blending it into a forged iron not going to make them feel worse?

All the reviews have said they feel great, and noticeably better feel that either HM version .

The 4120 in the 921 line is softer than the previous versions. As much as I love my HMB's, the Mizuno rep was sure I'd like the 921F line even more, especially for the improved feel.

Here's a snapshot of the new catalog page for them as well, but lots of detail on the website in any case.

Thanks for the info. I will be putting these up against my 745s. Everything I've seen of the Forged so far suggests they have all the ingredients for a similarly classic iron.

I am all in on a set of the Tour SEL.  I play off 5 and think these may be a great set.  I have a set of cobra cb/mb still in wrappers in the garage but fear they might be to much bat for me. i had the 2014 Callaway apex pro irons and loved them. I got the cobra cb/mb to replace them after messing about with srixon 785. The 785 were just to big a head and the cobra are a leap in faith. Two weeks after the cobra irons arrive Mizuno come out a dropped the dime on these.  No luck for me I guess.  The reason i have not played them yet is I am in Melbourne and in lockdown. (two weeks of lockdown left). fingers crossed we get out soon. Even if the cobra bats are great and I can handle them, I am still going to get a set of these. I wanted a set of the tours since the 900 series.
