Justin didn't have his bag on Tuesday, he was only putting and I left the course today before he got there so i could fly home to Nashville. The tornado missed my house by less than a mile but I want

Taylormade- Ok, we'll re-sign you onto the staff, but on one condition" Rose- "Ok, what's that?" Taylormade- Just something to make sure we can "truss" you again

It’s comical to read through some of these comments. Those suggesting Honma is done, or their product is of lesser quality/performance because Justin Rose isn’t playing them anymore, are blind sheep w

Thanks. Not sure I really have one cuz players change equipment and I have no idea what his contract says. A lot of speculation that he's leaving cuz of equipment but there could be many other reasons. He was still using the bag and wearing the cap, so is he really leaving??

So here is an off the cuff idea... going back to the rumor of clubs being pulled. Someone on here said the JR Honmas were very similar to the TMs. Is it possible that TM has sued or gotten an injunction against Honma on some kind of patent infringement issue or proprietary process?

Repeat until the ball is in the hole.

No. Both the TM and the Honma irons are essentially copies of a MP-29 which is ultimately a copy of the Hogan Personal iron.

Rose seems like an honourable guy, and will want to see out his Honma contract in the spirit that he signed with them i.e. using the required number of clubs as specified in the terms. He's struggling with his game and seems to be lacking in confidence, so not that surprising that he is tinkering and going back to the brand with which he had most success.

I've read elsewhere that contract clauses allowing players to use alternative brands if they are unsatisfied with the product of the company they are endorsing is not uncommon. Only time will tell whether he makes it back to Honma clubs or not; I believe that if he gets to the point where he feels that he cannot play with them in the long term only then will they part company.

I used to work on an independent truck many moons ago. Players didn't pay us but we got some money from smaller manufacturers who couldn't justify a full truck but had a rep out. It would be if like Lamb wanted his putters out on tour, he would pay a rep to travel from event to event and he would have access to our truck as well as us for builds. Lamb would ship product to us and would pay us a sort of rent to access our truck. We also had a couple shaft manufacturers that used our truck as a sort of warehouse for captive trucks. We would keep a bunch of their product on hand and then replenish the OEM trucks when they needed it. They also paid us a fee for that service.

I'm not sure if that is still how those trucks work but we were one of a few of them at the time.

Justin can play just about anything as well as any pro out there. He probably asked for the clause about being able to play other clubs as well. If i was Honma I would be happy to have him playing the irons and have their brand on his hat and shirts and even bag. At the end of the day it’s whom ever throws the most money at them.

I was happy to see this, as a golf junkie and gear geek myself, I always raise a brow when pros take to companies outside of the attainability of the public. Homna, Xxio, even PXG. That's a selfish point. On a strictly professional opinion, Rosie was unflappable with Taylormade. Couple majors and a Gold medal to go along with those Ryder Cups...numbers don't lie!

I think he means the one before the 747. The 737 could/can be had for a song.
