What's anyone think about OEM headcovers?

I use some older OEM headcovers. Main reason, my bag is USA themed so I found Red/White/Blue headcovers for hybrids and woods. Also, why advertise you have the latest $500+ driver in your bag, as morals in the world have been on the decline for a while now?

I don't really care at all about what head covers everyone else uses. I have a few that have a bit of personal meaning - my son's college, a great course I once visited overseas. I've only got one old OEM headcover for a hybrid just because it came with the club. It's still there for the sole reason that I've not managed to lose it yet.

That said, there is the practical component of if all headcovers match and are from a mainstream OEM, that might be inviting extra looks from the dishonest folks among us. My own clubs are about as far as possible from being 1) expensive and 2) fully matching, but I wonder if that should be a concern for folks who do have such sets.

The avoiding theft was more targeted towards putters, would rather use a generic solid black cover than a circle T or other Scotty cover.

I never use the OEM head covers. First, they are a bit loud, and second the thief enticement you mention.

I really don't like them either.

I have a Daphne donkey for my driver.

I use matching tartan plaid fairway wood headcovers on my fairway wood and hybrids, although they're loose fitting on the hybrids. The same ones were on high loft fairway woods before.

With full length club dividers on cart bags, everything's always in the exact same exact place; the fairway wood covers can be identical without numbers or anything.

I save the factory headcovers to keep on my old clubs, however, because the expensive ones transfer to the new clubs if they're in good shape.
