Koepka...back to reality now???

BK has played 10 competitive rounds on tour since October 2019 and reaggravated a knee injury in the interim that he is still dealing with. Shot a 71 in the final round of the API with two doubles. Beat Rory by 5 shots. Guess Rory is done as well. Captain Controversy shot an 80 on Saturday. Is his career is over as well? WRX as always is nothing but overreaction central.

Once he signs, he will put the XTREME in PXG golf. They will offer Brooks Bomber special edition clubs, which will feature a PXG logo'd protein shaker shaped head-covers (including irons). In addition to this, PXG and Brooks will partner to launch a MLM/subscription based personalized fitness/fitness equipment company. It will focus on app based golf-centric fitness regimes and branded supplementary fitness supplies for revenue.

I doubt he gets humble but he should just slightly. I actually like him. Alot of great golfers fall off sometimes very quickly. Hopefully not with him. I will say though rory is whipping his butt since the play of year award stuff lol. If you think about it though not 1 player comes back off injury on fire so hes got time and 4 weeks till masters is plenty of time. Pretty sure i can shoot a 92 and then shoot a low 80s round the next day. If i can do that he can for sure turn it around fast.

2018:

8th in distance, 155th driving accuracy, 68th putting, 65th approach the green, 56th around the green.

2019

10th in distance, 102nd driving accuracy, 48th putting, 11th approach the green, 92nd around the green

2020

33rd in distance, 214th driving accuracy, 208th putting, 128th approach the green, 76th around the green

So, he's driving shorter and less accurately, putting worse, and his irons are worse. Not a winning combination.

It's a hard game. Brooks should be a little more humble because success can be so fleeting, for a variety of reasons. Injuries, driver woes, putting yips, swing problems can happen to anyone at any time.

He appears to be another example of how careers will shorten going forward. Chasing speed with every club is the current strategy and to do that a lot of guys work out hard. But id they get an injury to the wrong thing it can finish them. He already dodged a bullet with his wrist. He may have to shut it down for awhile to reset his golf with a bum knee. But one thing is for sure. He can't play well with a two way miss. Until that happens he will struggle out there.

81 on Saturday was about like a 74 in "normal conditions." Still not good, but the number taken out of context looks a lot worse than it was.

He and his caddie were at odds of what club to his several times this week at the API.

You could see his frustration and then he would hit it poorly when he didnt hit the club he wants to.

I think he has workflow issues with his caddy, call them mental I guess.

He probably forgot how far he hits them and his caddy didn't.

A professional golfer should always want to hit the right club.

Maybe if he retired and went into his fashion bro career.

But, it's no fun being #1, going around like you own the place, being in GQ.....and then going out missing cuts and shooting 80. Spieth can confirm that, I'm sure.

BK mentions a couple of things here,

"I found something with my putting, so my putting, the touch is back. I feel very confident with that. But still close on the swing, sometimes it's there and then sometimes it's not."

“I mean, every year we have come – I don't know how far back, to 2016 – all the way through the Match Play has been terrible. So I don't know what it is about these first three months of the year, but I struggle quite a bit.”

The thread on A. Kim makes me think perhaps he should pull that same stunt. Cash out early with an insurance claim and ride the gravy train into golf obscurity.

Because he is a very (by tour standards) average putter at best. he has just been hot for a couple years. I have been saying for months he was due for a bit of a slide.

Historically tough week at Bay Hill for the field. A little adversity is good, particularly after his relatively serious injury to end last season. He'll be back!

Obviously Brooks has an axe to grind with the industry... nothin like the Spieth experience where he was loved and coddled.

Bet he gets off on everyone counting him out or even pulling against him then boom just won another major.... what ya gonna say now you chumps! He's turning into go ahead count me out of it guy. Like a great athlete playing a playoff game on the road and shutting up the whole arena Kobe style...shhhh

Can't figure how to like my own posts

That would be a great pairing. As long as it's a irons and wedges deal so he can play his own woods and putter. Get it done!
