You cannot pick one statistical outlier to justify mass panic. If you want to do that, lets look at South Korea. 66 deaths in 7869 cases. That is 0.8%.   The global numbers are around 3.6%, and those

Tiger’s gonna toss a green jacket to whoever wins from six feet away.

yeah the nbas decision is taking panic to another level. From what I read the owners were all over the place in what to do. Some wanted things to stay as is until a mandate from the government came, o

"I guess they need a good buying opportunity now and then though. Plenty will make a lot after the rebound"

Times like this are definitely a great opportunity to get much wealthier, if you're so inclined. And, a lot of people on the edge financially will be looking for a large cardboard box

You want to know how rich people get richer in the stock market? In times like these.

You can get Boeing right now - one of the most successful, innovative, rock-solid companies that builds everything from aircraft to spacecraft and gets government contracts up the wazoo - at over 50% cheaper than what it was just 10 weeks ago.

There is nothing that either government or the medical world can/could do when this virus erupted. You can't prepare for an illness that you've never encountered. Every illness that has plagued mankind has always been subject to medicine scrambling to catch up and hopefully find a cure or at the least some sort of stop gap measure. Every year there seems to be a new strain of the flu and even with a flu shot, it will not protect from getting the flu. They say it will only soften the effects.

As for all the sporting events being canceled, yeah it's kind of a knee jerk reaction, but in the long run it could prove to be a prudent decision. They really have little to no other choice in trying to protect people. Now to the Masters...........If, that's a big if, they don't allow spectators, I can see them now huddled in butler cabin, looking for a way to over charge CBS and possibly just going to straight pay per view. After all, if their not selling stuff on the grounds and no one is buying those palmetto sandwiches, they have to make up that revenue other ways. We can look forward to Jim Nantz wearing a full hazmat suit and a green one at that...........

This "flu bug" is the direct result of globalization, increased processed food consumption and the overuse of antibiotics.

As kids, we would catch a cold or the flu and fight it with steam, aspirin, rest and soup.

I would guess that the amount they make selling stuff on the grounds is pretty meaningless in comparison to the tv money they already get. Their prices are pretty reasonable for the items they sell, unlike the inflated prices the USGA and PGA charge and I don't think they're making much money on the pimento cheese sandwich at $1.50 or what ever it is(too much btw those things suck0

I never stopped fighting colds and flu like this. The only time I have ever been prescribed antibiotics was for strep throat. Anybody getting antibiotics for the flu or a cold needs to really rethink their selection of doctors. That guy is a quack.

Or maybe it will be a breath of fresh air to see an organization not freak out and actually hold its event and allow the nation to actually see that they can go about their lives without the grim reaper threatening them at every turn.

Somebody is going to have to be "first" with regards to getting back to normal life. Might as well be the folks at Augusta.
