Myrtle Beach canceled. Should be kraving around 5 am tomorrow morning. Trip is already rescheduled for early April but I doubt we will be a go that soon.

8 weeks from now I am supposed to be in SoCal. I have free cancellation of my hotel rooms, but cannot cancel the flight. I would say that my odds of being able to go are less than 10% now. :(

You will be able to cancel your flight. Give it a couple of weeks, all airlines are offering free cancelation. You may just get a credit, but once these more stringent lock ins start happening you'll be able it.

You and others should post the name of the travel agency you booked through so in the future others can choose to use a reputable agency and not these aholes. Pretty outrageous during this situation that they won’t at least let you postpone and reschedule at a later date.

Had a 11 day trip to Japan to golf all their best courses in April obviously go by the wayside. Working with the tour company to reschedule for next year. Will be an epic trip from those who have been tell me.

I think that is a bit harsh, as they donate Millions to charity annually. Sure, money runs the world, but some people do have hearts after all. They are not monsters and they do care about the welfare of their fans.

I did. He's a marketing guy (with a strong political bias) that put together nice charts. Anyone can publish to "Medium." He completely glosses over the dangers associated with flooding the medical system. Want to die of something serious but completely treatable? Then flood the medical system.

 

It's baffling that anyone would listen to a guy like this over the doctors in their local health systems or the likes of Dr. Fauci that's been doing this for 30 years.

 

PS-- let me add that while I'm personally not too concerned about catching the virus, I'm concerned that I or a member of my family couldn't get medical care if the system were maxed.

Thank you for your sensible response, I agree with you. Although, I think as time goes on the mortality rate will be very similar to the flu virus. The reason the coronavirus is more fatal and contagious is the fact that it is brand new on the world and people have not been vaccinated against it similar to the flu, and also over the counter medicines that help out have not been determined yet. When it's all said and done this might be a virus we're going to continually have to work with, but it will be minimized to the severity of the flu with proper vaccinations and medicines. With that being said, the flu is quite a killer and people don't seem to have a respect for the deadliness of the flu virus that they should.
