Hi Easyyy, I got fitted by Joe last year, loving my Epons irons and Calloway woods and hybrids. I’ve always been curious about who the tour players are that Joe has worked with. I went to his instagram feed, but it’s hard to sort through. Do you know who they are?

They look amazing, especially the 56*. Think it's the wide sole combined with the aggressive heel and trail edge grind that I like.

Hi guys,

Here are some info about my JK wedges:

JK wedges are all custom hand ground from a heavy heads to a final specs.Available lofts 49-61 degree ( 1* up or down from that is possible but pushing it).Made out of S20C soft carbon steel.One piece coin forged. Solid 1 piece feel. No welded spots.Conforming milled face for true flat result.Conforming milled grooves to maximize the allowance.All wedges are custom hand ground and build one by one according to requested specs or fitting specs.3 initials, lofts stamping or dots (1,2&3) are included on the base pricing. Other than that is extra.Straighter leading edge shape or boxier toe shape are included in base pricing (some limitation on case by case). I preferred to have samples in hand if you can't trust my taste.Paint fill color limit to availability.Check out all my Instagram wedge posts for grind info and ideas.  

Note: Bare in mind, everything have limitation on case by case basis. Some will have some extra charges due to extra work on it. "Ei: pre worn grind and porting."

 

Price start at $450/wedge includes American brands steel shaft. All extra work will be assess accordingly.

 

*Tour players support are base on status and case by case with fair judgement. Remember I'm just a small guy who enjoy making you guys play better and mutual support always help each others. I am trying to go down to a three wedge system. Pitching wedge, gap wedge and then a sand wedge. Ultimately I’d like one wedge to be used everywhere I can within 85 yards.

 

Start becoming very comfortable just with one club. I’m not a Touring pro so I’m not out there practicing every day so I don’t know all the nuances of the different wedges. It’s nice just to get friendly with one. That’s why he designed it 56° that has a grind on it that will allow me to open it up and hit a delicate flop shot. So there’s a lot of relief near the heel.

Where do the blank heads come from?

These heads came from a small boutique foundry that willing to take my small order with meticulous request specs requirements. It took a few samples to full filled all the requirements Correctly. Lots of testing from hackers all the way to a touring pro in the top rank level. The biggest help to get this done is my 29 years in this industry. Any forging companies Would have the same result if they follow my requirements correctly and to top it off is the person handle the quality control. That's the key IMO!

Looking at your Eye 2 replica got me to thinking. Can you grind a wedge to emulate the Chikara V1's?

I'm not familiar or remember with Chikara stuff, but i can at least make them play similar to it.... Especially if i have a sample in my hand.

The art of grinding can visually look more compact or bigger. But measurement wise probably about the same or the opposite.

As of mine, it's probably look slightly bigger if we set it side by side with sm7. However that's again look. But yet I've given some thought on this matter before I've made my decision picking up the mold/die... I still wanna make it look easy to hit Size and yet not to look too big to a point most of us think It'll be harder to control the ball flight.

To me a good wedge is the one we can control the ball flight, which translate to a better distance control. We can even do a porting to alter the CG.

Additionally, 49-52 definitely more compact boxier look to it. 52-54 have a 2 head shape options (boxier or rounder) and 54-61 will be rounder definitely.

At the end i wanna have my own style and look!

Beautiful Joe. The different paint fills with the minimalistic heads look just classy!!!! Also in a couple of the photos it looks like you torched one of the heads but I’m assuming it’s just the angle/light. They look awesome.

Wedge por-n is always good, but in days when a simple round of golf or a trip to the driving range is almost impossible (here in LA... a lot of stuff is closed), wedge por-n is like XX X. Super nice. Love seeing this artistry.
