Lots of times, a club has just come to the end of their line with Jack Pearsall and after a tiny bit of deep introspection and semi-serious consideration, that thing is gone. Who wants to keep them? 

 

In time, like lovers gone, you recall the goodness and all the fun you had, fancifully forgetting the folly that ultimately led you to put it in a box and mail it away to a total stranger!

That's my mentality. I take really good care of them, so they should last me for a good while.

Sold my F9 Cobra Driver and regret it. Got TS2 but 6mo later got G425 LST which i do love but still would be nice to have that F9 as a reserve. Only got like $105 for it which makes it even more annoying. 

 

Fortunately still have F9 3w which is literally the only "old" club I still have in my bag.

yonex tour irons paid 1500 back in the mid 90s things were butter and long

Didn't sell it - but I lent a TM V-steel 3W to a friend back in the day.  He put several sky marks and a dent in the crown and the club was never the same.

 

It was a tour issue head with a Graphite Design YS7+ shaft.  So good off the tee that my driver started gathering dust.  

 

I still mourn that club...

This is why i will never borrow a club to someone again. Thats awful.

Just sold a month ago mizuno mp mmc 20 with $taper shafts. The good news is i have a second set of mp 20 mmc that bad news is now i realized i like the $taper shaft better then the second sets shaft which is nippon gh 950 stiff 😥

Had a set of 680.mb's that I ditched for XHot pros that didn't work out.

Found a new old stock set of the 680's for a crazy good price, but alas the magic was gone.

 

That smacked the sentimental and regret right out of me.

 

There was a reason I traded that old set in.

I had a set of MP 60's that I bought used for a song. I played them a while and bought a set of JPX 800's and shelved the 60's. I ended up loaning them to a cousin to try out and see if he liked them and if he didn't he would return them. He never hit them, ended up moving a couple of times and when I asked about them he had no idea where they were. I would love to have them back to play around with.

I sold the set on here for 450 I believe...And that set in the condition I had it for is worth a lot more now hahaah.

 

They were beautiful and in good shape and fun to use.

Didn't sell them, but did loan them to my brother who proceeded to lose several of them.....my Cleveland TA3 Form Forged Gunmetal irons.  Loved those and many fond memories of youth/high school golf.  Won my junior club championship with them.

Anytime I ask my self why I have a putter or set of irons not getting love and I decide to sale them for money:

Almost made the mistake with an EPON I-33 putter that was on timeout during a short mallet phase.  Thankfully a thin market.  That would have killed me.  So soft yet so dense.

My only other regret is selling the SLDR 3 wood I had. Every time I struggle with my driver I wish I had it. The thing was a rocket.

Callaway 2015 GBB driver. Got the rogue thought I should capitalized on used club market. 
Have the belief that pre jailbreak Callaway drivers had some of the sound and feel of the modern drivers. Now they are $200 dollars on second hand market. Can’t wait until all these people that found golf during COVID realize that it’s a miserable game. Will get my 2015 GBB at the end of next year for $85 plus shipping.

I have a newer driver, but the 2015 GBB is not going anywhere.   Paired with a 661 Speeder, it simply performs.
