Currently a 2.8

I play 3 different sets of irons, just bought Ping I500 with TT DG 120 S300 Only have played them in a simulator league so not sure yet.

The set I used last year were Ping S55 with TT DG S300 which are the irons I seem to always go back too. I just seem to hit them better.

Also have a set of Ping I-blades 6-9 with KBS tour stiff which are in and out of the bag.

3.5... i played Mizuno MP29s for the past 20 years pretty much, but recently found a new set of JPX 900 Tours. I love blades, obviously, but not being able to practice as much as I'd like makes it hard to justify still gaming them. Hoping the extra forgiveness and size helps even just a bit. Although not world-class, I think blades helped make my ball-striking become the strength of my game.

4 and change handicap right now. In the bag right now I have a set of Callaway X14 pro 5-pw that have been in there for over a decade. I do however have a set of brand new Srixon Z585's 5-pw sitting in the closed down pro shop of a local country club... which I cannot access as long as we are under Coronavirus restrictions. Ugh...

Long time HO here. Best was 2.7 many years ago before kid. Got down to 3.5 this past season here in Nh.

I love blades and trying mew sets. Here is the list I had last season lol

CG1 Tours px6.0’s; Razr Forged Px6.0’s, Razr MB’s with Px6.5 Flighted, Cally Prototypes Px6.0’s, 18 X Forged Px6.0’s, Apex MB/Apex Pro Px6.0’s

CMB’s px5.5, JPX900 Forged C-Taps (not a fan), z945’s s400’s, Cobra MB’s, z545’s s300, z745 s300, Ping iBlades, United SSB Tours

Raw Map60’s w/amt’s, raw Nike Forged Blades w/UST Proto X, Raw Mp68’s, Raw Jpx 900 Tours w/s300’s, raw MB2’s (2 sets) with Kbs & Recoils, Raw Mp63’s

I know I am forgetting some. I have tried everything but have a few 1-2’s who play P790’s and they are 1-2clubs longer and hit them so high.

Going to try s55’s this year or go back to my MP60’s w/amt’s which I love. But like small compast heads and while I am hitting a 6i under the trees while my buds are 8i p790’s above them I still hang just fine.

All about what you like and play with confidence. If its shovels so be it. Blades are awesome but need to stroke that 200y 4/5i when needed. But all what you are wanting in your game!

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.
Treat people the way you want to be treated

Currently sitting between 2-4 cap, depending on how much time I have to practice and play. At my best I was +1, but that was pre-kids, and game has never been close to that since they arrived on the scene. Playing Mizuno MP-4 (4-PW) with Project X LZ 6.0, and MP-20 HMB 3 iron and pretty happy with them. Love the feel, workability, and distance control. Will probably make my way into a set of Mizuno MP-20 MBs at some point, but will likely wait until I can buy a gently used set.

Definitely also interested in hitting the Ping Blueprints though - my fitter had me hit the i500 a while back, and told me to "just shut up, and hit the damn thing - you'll love them as long as you don't look at the sole or hosel" (without telling me what it was). He'd given me a 5 iron, and I hit shot after shot, every single one (probably 20 or more shots) carrying around 200-205, with incredible feel, ball flight and workability. But then he gave me the PW, which is where our grand experiment came to an abrupt end. I then understood why he started me with the 5i - the PW looked like a complete shovel, and I just couldn't get over that.

Would also love to get a few days to play around with the Tiger irons, but can't imagine putting them in the bag. Would also love to demo some Hogan irons at some point as well....

Scratch golfer most days ... Mizuno MP-15 3-PW with dynamic gold in stiff flex ... for all the hate these irons get , they are one of the best Mizuno ever made in my opinion and I have hit alot of different Mizuno Irons ... But of course I love all the mizuno irons because they are all exceptional with very minor differences ...
