5 handicap and lower (including scratch, plus handicap, and pros) - what irons do you currently use?

Absolutely love the s55s. If I replace my current irons with anything it will be them. I have a pretty flat swing, so finding them in anything other than blue/black dot is hard.

The s55 irons are my favorite feeling iron I've ever had. My 210s are just more forgiving and I get a little boost in distance. But the s55 irons are incredible.

Mizuno jpx 919 tour/forged combo set.

Finished 2020 season at 4.6  TM m2 irons standard stiff flex off the rack. (strong lofted)

fitted 12/20.  Ended up with the 620 CB at fitting.  Bought the P-8 620 MBs  7-4 CBs.  X100s  +1 inch length and 2 degrees upright lie.   Added a U500 3 iron utility for gapping.    Cant wait to play them.  Hopefully it doesnt take too long to figure out the new set!

+1 and playing Taylor made 770’s. Point and shoot. They go high, spin more than most irons on the market and go a touch further than my t100s’.  Now if I could only find the right top of the bag clubs...

I like to here this I’m a 2 handicap and plan on getting fit for the 770’s next month. I’m happy playing a forgiving iron because right now I play jpx900, just looking for something a little more consistent

Been as low as a plus 3.5 in college and as high as a 2. I play MP15’s or 919 tours.  Cleveland RTX wedges with rifles to match the irons. I played mp30’s and mp14’s through college.

MP20 MMC

+3.5 and I just switched to p7mb 5-pw and a p7mc 4 iron with a p770 3 iron. I wasn’t gaming p750s 4-pw before buying these. I switched to p750 so if I was off a ball striking wise it wouldn’t kill me but then I lost a certain feel I like. I could work the 750s but not the way I could all the Nike blades I gamed before. I very well could eventually switch to a mc 5 iron but I’m struggling to find that 3 wood I have 100% confidence in.

2.7 index at end of November (as low as 0.5 this past summer) played TM Rocketbladez 4-GW. Fit at end of the season and moved into JPX 919 HMP 4-GW, KBS C-taper lite 110g.

Errant drives and elevation changes seem to plague me.  Not my irons.  They are what I rely on the most.  Ping ISI BeNi with Z-Z65 shafts.  Love everything about them.

I am a 3 but drive the ball like a 10-12.  from 230 in i'm a + hcp.  Played competitive golf through junior college, still shoot under par every 5 rounds or so and around par regularly..with the occasional 80-85 thrown in due to spraying the ball off the tee.  I have never had better irons than the MP18 combo set i'm currently using and i've never hit the ball more accurately (even when I was scratch).  Perhaps some of it is the move to kbs tour shafts as I have played DG x100 and s400 most of my life.  These are the first irons i've had with modern stronger lofts (previous set had a 48* pw).  I added a gap wedge and it took a while to get used to the set up but wouldn't change back.  If this set was stolen i'd buy the mp20 mmc/blade combo set but these irons have a few years left in them I am not even remotely considering changing.

lol hit the nail on the head.  2 girls 6 and 8.  Quit playing when the 1st was born and just started playing again 3 years ago.  joined a club in november.
