Do you guys find SW to be higher with X7? What shafts did you come from previously? I currently have $ Taper 130 and seem to SW a touch lower.

When I had my test club built the other day it actually came in at a lighter SW then with a modus 120x hard stepped(which I was misfitted for). Went from D3.5 to D2 in p730 8 iron.

The x7's are obviously heavier but felt smoother than the x100 and my face contact was 100x better.

The butt diameter in the wedges is going to be a nightmare

I'm not a club fitter just FYI. I believe $ taper are slightly "counter balanced"(they claim higher cg on their website) which would get you a little lighter SW. I could be wrong on that, I hope someone will correct me if so. C-tapers SW similar to X7. In the wedges the S400s are really close to the X7 SW wise, x100 a touch lighter. I have used X7 in my irons for about 15 years and have only tried C-tapers as an alternative to not much success.

Thanks for the info, that does make sense based on the profiles.
