Costco MGI Navigator AT Deal

Just ordered this as they are $300 off through next Sunday at $1299. Almost too good to be true. Anyone on here taken advantage of this cart bundle? What are your thoughts on this? Is there a catch somewhere as this unit sells for $2000 with all these accessories. Just want to make sure it is the real deal and not something slightly different. Just FYI, I totally trust Costco but they do have some things that are slightly watered down to hit great price points. TIA.

It’s the real deal...the best one actually because it’s the AT (all terrain) version. I was going to pull the trigger myself, but haven’t just yet. Hopefully between now and next week I can at least have a feel for when my courses may open again and make a decision. The only reason I haven’t is I really don’t want to spend $1300 right now just to save $300 if it’ll be sitting in my condo unused for a couple months.

Does anyone know how quickly these ship and where they ship from? Costco offers expedited shipping and was trying to decide if I should spend the extra cash. With the lockdown in GA, golf is considered a necessary activity and our course is open and I am walking consistently. Would love to have this for our weekend.

Not sure where they ship from but I think when I was asking about it around the holidays Costco said most places in the US you should have it within a week of payment...I’d give their customer Service a ring though and see what they say

Just got shipping today. Mine shipped from Utah. Hope to have it Friday although UPS is saying Monday. Ground maps show only 4 days to my location but who knows with the virus. Would love to use it this weekend. The $44 for 2 day shipping is almost worth it if you're on a tight timeline. I know wish I had done that.

So glad I took advantage of this. Maiden voyage yesterday and this cart puts all my buddies Bat Caddys and Cart Teks to shame. Not using the seat or some of the other accessories but this is really a top notch cart. Love how quiet it is and it is so stable. Love the Costco deal but certainly even worth full price.

One question for those that have this cart. What is the best bag for it? I have a Ping Hoofer and it fits well but the leg stand attachments do sort of get in the way. I also have a Ping DLX cart bag and it doesn’t fit well at all. Just looking for the best fit on the top bracket so the na doesn’t twist much.

I have a bat caddy. I love it but there’s frequent adjustments. Can you talk a bit more about performance and especially how straight it tracks vs the bat caddy? How it does on hills? Etc. Ramble all you want lol.

I've only used it 3 times now. One of my playing partners has 2 Bat Caddys. He has the 3 and 4 and we play together every week. I have tried his 4 before. He and his wife use them to play together mostly. He swaps between the 2 when she is not around to keep use on each even. Both are almost a year old and have served him well. He has roughly the same amount in 2 carts as I do this one. The main differences are noise, tracking, battery and overall stability. His caddies are a bit noisy. Before I had the MGI, I noticed it but it never was an issue for me but I have seen other players in our group back off shots or get annoyed if he tried to move his cart if they haven't hit yet. The lithium battery on the MGI is very nice. Both his are lead acid. He can go 27 holes max and it sometimes has quit on him at about 24-25. I have already done 36 holes on my first 2 rounds and the battery meter showed I still have 50% capacity. Also the way the battery attaches to the MGI makes it very nice. I have seen his battery get loose when he is driving his over rough terrain. Tracking and stability go hand in hand with the MGI. I have used one of his caddies before and I spend a good bit of time keeping it on track on our hilly course. Its like running a RC Car and becomes a bit taxing for me on our hilly course having to be so careful and watchful. The MGI gyros are amazing in this area. Point it where you want it to end up and it will go there no matter the side hills or terrain. The day I used one of his caddies I literally crashed it 5 times. This was mainly going up hills a bit to steep and getting it a bit sideways. The 4th wheel works on the Bat Caddy but the tracking would get off and then tip. This just does not happen on the MGI. Its rear wheel looks small but it works well. I have tipped the MGI once but I was torture testing it to see where the limits where. I put it on a very steep hill and it basically could not get to the top. The wheels were spinning. It still didn't tip over until I stopped it and tried to back it down the hill. There are some other small things I like. The front swivel wheels are much better for turning and tracking. The free wheel feature is very nice. I use it for getting the cart from my car to the starter area as I have a few curbs to navigate. The remote is also lithium and easily rechargeable. If you forget and it gets low, you can just plug it into the handle and recharge during a round. The remote has a nice little clip under the handle for storage. It also has a Lock/Unlock feature for in pocket use. I do like the readout screen on the MGI as well. The MGI folds smaller so I can get it into my trunk. The way the bag attaches is much better for my bags than the Bat Caddy. I do not see mine shifting as much as his. I still am searching for that perfect bag for it though. The accessories are a nice part of this package although I am only using the umbrella holder and the drink holder. The seat may be nice but not sure I will use it. The carry bag is nice though. That's about all I can think of. I spent more than I had planned on this cart. Even so, I do not have any remorse at all. With the build and warranty, I think this will last me as long as I need it.

Used mine the other evening. It's great. Easy to operate and the remote has nice long range. It is an adjustment to carrying a remote around though for sure. Most of the accessories that came with it are fairly useless in my opinion. I need to jerry rig some sort of bag-pouch under the handles to hold a few things during the round.

Used mine for the second time yesterday and am really happy with it. It does take a while to get used to the remote, but once you get comfortable with it you’re fine. The speed and turning control are exceptional. I play a hilly course, and added a 5lb weight to my bottom pocket that I saw mentioned. Stability was outstanding on all terrain.

Does anybody have any bag recommendations (either to use or stay away from) for the MGI Zip Navigator AT? I currently have an Ogio Convoy 514 cart bag which works ok with my Bag Boy Nitron, but the upper part of the bag that is secured to the push cart is a bit too wide to sit perfectly.

I had the same bag and sold it due to the way it fit. I also have a Ping DLX cart bag I am trying to sell due to fit. My Ping Hoofer is the best fit I have found so far. The bag isn't too wide at the top. If you are careful and align where the legs attach to the bag on the MGI top bracket, they stay put and will not slide. The hoofer bottom works great on the lower bracket too and the legs do not droop or engage. I've also I found I prefer to have my club setup with woods on top and wedges on bottom and irons in the middle. The way the bag slants if you use a true cart bag my irons are always bumping into my graphite shafts. A carry type bag seems to work better for this. I am going to keep my eye out for a better solution but I haven't found one yet.

I like having my woods on top, as well, so i just rearrange my clubs in my cart bag so that they are upside down from what they normally would be if I were riding in a cart. Have you tried any of the Bag Boy bags? My understanding is that the Bay Boy bags are all supposed to be designed to work perfectly with the MGI push carts and MGI's home (Australian) website sells Bag Boy bags. I'm trying to avoid a carry bag for the simple fact that most people that use a carry bag end up having to do something to get their bag to fit right each time; if I'm not going to have a perfect fit, I'd rather just keep my current bag unless it is wholly unworkable.

I have not looked into Bag Boy at all. I did not know they were affiliated with MGI. I will definitely look into them.

Yep. The Bag Boy Navigator Quad is the same as the MGI Zip Navigator with some minor cosmetic differences. Not sure why/how/when their partnership began, but they definitely have one.

Does it come with the larger battery?

Here you go. It does not appear to come with any special battery. The battery it comes with is a 24v 380Wh.

Been wanting a powered cart for a while and finally took the plunge on the Navigator AT. I love walking and need the exercise but always load up my bag - multiple drivers, dozen balls, liter of Jameson - so carrying and pushing can get a little intense. Can't wait.
