Costco MGI Navigator AT Deal

The seat storage is not much. There are molded spots for some balls, but all I typically can fit in it is a cell phone and some energy bars.

It will also hold a rangefinder, and makes a great flat  table top, while stationary, for sorting through things in your golf bag, or to set a drink upon. It's an excellent seat, too! Easy to get up from, too, unlike most others that sit too low.

It took a while due to delays on the MGI side and with the importer service that I use to get it into Canada, but I finally got my Zip AT today.  I couldn't do much more than to take it for a little test run in my hallway.

I have a really stupid question though for my fellow users.  Can you put the cart into the carrying bag without taking the wheels off?  I disconnected the battery and put it into the little slot, but I can't seem to get the zippers close?  I tried putting the cart in in multiple ways but I can't get the zippers to close all the way.

I never could figure out how to do it, when I tried to use it to return my first cart with a gear grinding noise to CostCo!  Eager to hear any solutions!

You may need to take them off and put them back on “backwards”. It makes the footprint smaller

side question, has anyone found a cooler or cooler backpack that will strap to the MGI? Their proprietary bag seems tiny for the price

Found this but not sure how well it will work

When I was trying earlier, I already reversed the wheels to be inside out.

So did I. Still wouldn't fit. Kind of odd that it won't fit in inside the included bag. Maybe MGI Customer Service can shed some light on how to get it to fit. Maybe the wheels are detached and put inside separately? There were some pockets in the interior. However, the exposed axles would surely rip through the fabric.

I just ordered one to try. Biggest concern is moving the center of gravity back so far that it will tip over backwards, without a compensating weight in the front, if you fill the bag to capacity with ice and beverages. I already have a 5 pound lead dive weight velcroed onto the front anyway. Could increase it to 10 pounds. I also have the proprietary MGI cooler bag, currently holding four 16oz water bottles. It fits well, but MGI also suggests limiting the weight inside because of the tip over potential on uphill climbs. I still strap a Playmate Mini underneath using bungee cords, for really cold beverages on ice, in addition to the MGI cooler bag for water. If you slow the speed down on uphill climbs, most backward tip overs can be avoided. The small, single wheel in the back can easily allow a sideways tip over, when it is the only contact with the ground, aside from the drive wheels.

Let me know how it goes, I was also worried about the tipping since it already has that issue (I need to add the weight up front). I was also thinking maybe something can be strapped to the seat attachment

I called MGI regarding fitting the unit into the carry bag, and while the rep said that it's doable, it's a really tight fit.  She suggested that it's easiest to simply remove the wheels when in the bag.  This might be okay for me anyways.  My trunk isn't big enough to fit my golf bag, so I am likely going to need to put the cart into the bag and into my backseat.  However, all of the grass and geese poop will likely make the inside of the bag filthy anyways, so I'll probably put the back wheels in the trunk where I have a rubber liner.  That doesn't solve my issue with crud on my front wheels, but they're nowhere near as huge as the back wheels.

There's a a guy, NEHomer, on the THP forum that is really handy, and he's built a few pretty cool accessories for his MGI using sheetmetal.  One of them is a rangefinder holder, and the other is a cooler holder that sits on the frame under the bag.  You could reach out to him to see if he'd build/sell you one.  See posts #3 and #35:

Just FYI, looks like Costco just increased the price on these by $100.00, not sure we are going to see another sale for a while.

I bought mine at the start Covid.  Stand bags fit on this if you put them on sideways. Wish they had a bag block for this model but I can deal with sideways golf bag.  Just hit 1000 miles walking.  All original parts accept for the bottom strap which broke and they sent me a replacement.  WD-40 the wheels every few weeks otherwise it clicks from grit getting them on.  For a remote golf caddy it's a tank.

Can anyone comment on how a Vessel player 3 bag sits on this electric cart? Thanks!

It sits fine. I have the cliqgear bag cozy and that helps keep it straight. It’s just tall enough that it doesn’t need any sort of extension. Clip the legs to the bag with the built in bungee and it’s great.

Do you find that WD-40 is better than the recommended vaseline for lubing the axles? Cleaning the axles removes grit, but also removes the axle lubrication.

One caveat: if you ever have to free roll your cart, because your battery died, you MUST lubricate the axles first, or the wheels will seize up and freeze onto the axles from the heat generated by the friction, and you will not be able to remove them!

During normal motorized power, the wheel is not spinning independently of the axle, as it is locked onto it with the locking pin, so lubrication is only needed to attach and detach the wheels, as you slide them over the axle. However, when free rolling, the wheel must spin around the unrotating axle, and this requires lots of lubrication/axle grease/lube/vaseline/WD-40, to avoid heat build up and seizure.

When I got home yesterday I realized I had lost the remote for my Navigator AT. Remembered hearing a clunk sound when i got in my truck(which was parked on a public street - not the course)  and know now that it was the remote falling off of my belt.  I have a ID sticker on it with my name/phone number, but didn't hear anything for 24 hours and figured it was gone. A replacement one is $180 on the MGI website 😑 and Ron has them for $150 at Kaddymart.com. With nothing to lose I called the golf course and someone had turned it in. They knew it was mine but couldn't call because the label was worn in places.

Pretty happy about it, and for sure I'm glad I live in Utah.

The clicgear bag cozy is currently on backorder. Hopefully should be back in stock in the next week or two. In your experience, does the Zip work decently with the Player III stand bag without the bag cozy? I just don’t want to be miserable using it for several rounds if the bag cozy continues remain out of stock for a while.

It does work well with the bag coy. Not sure without as I never used it. I just switched to a PXG Hybrid and it works even better. The Vessel is a bit shorter but still sits fine. With the PXG, you have another couple of inches and the legs lock into it much better. Overall better bag as well IMO. Vessel needs to make tis bag under the Vessel brand. I think it would be one of their more popular models.

Sounds like I’ll just need to wait for the bag cozy to come back in stock because I’m definitely not getting rid of the Player III anytime soon.

I believe I saw those same figures on my Fedex notice. I called MGI because that weight is clearly not correct. The cart weight is 16.9 kg with the battery per the MGI website or 37.3lbs per Costco. MGI said it was entered incorrectly. Not sure if that was MGI or Fedex but it seems systemic.

100% for sure that weight is incorrect.  Around 40 lbs sounds right. For some reason I'm thinking mine came in two boxes. Maybe the seat was in a second one.
